Why haven't I recieved my NDK QR Code Registration email?
All email addresses on record that were a Pre-Registration Full Weekend , Benefactor or Transferred badge registration for Nan Desu Kan 2021 were sent an email on August 25, 2021 starting at just before 7:00 pm Mountain Time. If you haven’t seen that email, please try the following:
Solution 1: SPAM FOLDERS While a great number of attendee’s have received and opened their email, we have reports that some of these emails have gone into Spam folders at various vendors including, but not limited to, Gmail, Comcast and Bellsouth. Please check your spam folder to see if the email is there!
Solution 2: Have the Registration Email re-sent. If you can’t find the original email, you can use the same email address you used to register for NDK above and trigger an automatic request to check and resend the QR Code. Please try this!
Solution 3: Registration Lookup by Last Name at the Convention: While we hope this QR Lookup Tool helps, if no emails do arrive, you can also ask the Registration team to lookup your badge by last name. Our registration team will be on site and ready to help.
Why is my "Badge Count" Wrong? I should have "X" Number of Badges
For NDK 2021, our new Badge Check-in technology was setup on a “per email” basis, rather than a “per transaction” basis. We found that this change is causing some confusion (our volunteer #DevTeam deeply apologizes) and will work to resolve this inconsistancy for future conventions.
You may be showing an incorrect badge count for one of the following reasons:
1. When you registred the second (or third, or fourth) badge, you may have put the email address of the person(s) you were registering, instead of your own. When this happens, they recieved their own Registration QR Code email. Please ask them to check their email inbox/Spam Folder just in case.
2. When entering your email address, you may have used capital letters or changed the sentence case a little bit. This caused our import function to think there was only one email address, but our registration database thinks they are two (or more) email addresses. This issue was found after the mass send on August 25th, but can be addressed when you visit Registration at the convention.
3. Finally, we are still checking our database, but some individuals may have actually mis-typed their email address. We’ll be able to update those at the convention when we find out about them! Your badges can be located by last name as well at the convention.
