How do I reserve a hotel room?

Please visit the main Hotel & Area Info page to find the Hotel Link to reserve your hotel room for Nan Desu Kan 2015. All hotel rooms must be booked before August 3rd 2015 to be eligible for the room rate, though we anticipate that we will sell out the room block long before then.

Does it cost money to reserve a room?

No. There’s no cost involved in reserving a room for NDK. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you reserve a hotel room as soon as possible. Even if you don’t have the money for a hotel room right now, you can still reserve one because you won’t be charged for it at this time.

If it doesn’t cost anything to reserve a room, why do I need to enter my credit card information?

You need to enter your credit card information in order to secure the reservation. This card will not be charged as a result of your reservation. You’ll also need this credit card to claim your reservation when you arrive at the hotel, so be sure to bring it with you to NDK when you check in.

If I can’t make it to NDK, can I cancel my reservation?

Yes. You can cancel your reservation at any time. If you cancel at least 24 hours in advance, there’s no charge for canceling your reservation. If you fail to cancel at least 24 hours in advance, however, the credit card you entered may be charged for the equivalent of one night’s stay for any rooms you reserved.

What’s the earliest day I can check in with NDK’s room rate? How long can I stay?

You can check in as early as the Thursday before NDK, and check out as late as the Monday after. Check-in begins at 3:00 PM. Check-out is at noon.

How much do rooms cost?

The room rate starts at $189 per night. The base rate is the cost of the room for up to two occupants. Add $20/night to the base rate for each additional occupant over two (maximum occupancy of four).

How many people can share a room?

Each room is based on one of two possible configurations: one king-size bed or two double-size beds. Regardless of which configuration a given room has, there’s a maximum occupancy of four people per room.

Note that having more than two occupants in a room will incur an extra charge per night. Please see the answer on room rates for more information.

Will rollaway beds (cots) be available?

Rollaway beds will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The hotel has a limited number of rollaway beds available for use and when they run out, they run out. For this reason, we strongly recommend that attendees don’t rely on being able to get rollaway beds when figuring out sleeping arrangements.

Can I wait and get a room at the convention?

No. Though some reservations are inevitably canceled, the odds of being able to get a room at the hotel without making a reservation in advance are highly unlikely.

I called the hotel and they said they were sold out. What gives?

The hotel sets aside a certain number of sleeping rooms for NDK attendees, their systems show the hotel as being booked solid for the event, even if there are rooms still available for attendees to reserve. Please visit HOTEL LINK to reserve your hotel room for Nan Desu Kan. If there are still rooms available for reservation, they’ll be listed on that site.

Room reservations for NDK are only available through the hotel link and the central reservation phone number. To avoid problems with booking a room, please only use the link provided above. Do not call the Sheraton to reserve a hotel room. If you do, your room reservation may not be guaranteed.

Will you be partnering with other hotels?

Yes! Because we anticipate selling out the entire room block each year, we’ll be partnering with other hotels in the area to ensure NDK attendees get discounted rates. We won’t be announcing these partnerships until the last room available at the Sheraton has been reserved, however.

I forgot to reserve a room and the con is only a week away! Help!

Sorry, but we can’t help you out there; if the hotel is full, there’s nothing we can do. You try one of our other partner hotels to see if you can get a room nearby, though. We’ll have more information about those when the Sheraton sells out.
