Very Important: be careful

Also it's good to have a reliable driver in Denver.  I live out in the boonies, so whenever I travel to Denver I'm surprised at the amount of traffic.  Having someone who is very focused as your driver is good, because accidents can happen fast.  And nobody wants to come to NDK from the emergency room.

I totally second everything everybody has already said.  Being safe is really what makes the con fun.  ^.^

Oh yes. All my life I have traveled and I think it is very important and wise to caution people, especially because at NDK (and even before) we tend to 'let lose' and forget the important things because we are so focused on having fun. Especially entering a new city, it's good to know where the bad areas are.

Just because you're traveling to Denver and someone has a sign that says "Going to Denver, please help" doesn't mean you should pick them up >> Unless they're dressed up as an anime character XD (kidding kidding...)

And don't make eye contact with the creepy people on street light corners D:

I went out of my way to meet up with Tiyen, a girl whom I was prospectively going to take with me to NDK along with her sister. We set it up so we met in a public place and we both had people with us, just to be sure we were both cool. It's always good to meet up with someone you don't know before taking them places and before being in a situation where you're alone with them.

hey thats an insult to me im 40 and hairy almost jobless and i live with my grandma.

Pedro is right, you shouldn't be afraid of the forty-year old hairy man who lives with his mom, you need to be afraid of the any-year old man who owns a house with a basement, a mattress, a bucket, and wet towel, all which you may be spending time with while the police can not find you and your parents think you're dead.
