And dont text while driving to the kan!!!   that is a BAD idea!  i can send you all a video to prove that!  when you have stopped at a stop light that takes a minute or two, maybe, but not while you are in a moving car!

As far as I know we have never limited the number of attendees, nor do we plan on it. Rest easy my friend. :)

To confirm what allpowerfulbob said, we do not limit the number of passes sold. We currently have the capacity to handle however many people show up. That may not always be true, but for now, if you show up and you've got the money for a badge, you'll get into NDK.

I suppose I have a couple tips....probably repeats, but emphasis never hurt....
If you're staying in a room, bring your food! Believe me, it was a lifesaver last year to be able to go up and have some snacks every once in a while. it keeps everyone's energy up and keeps everyone HAPPY.
Drink lots of water and juice, and bring ibuprofen or advil or whatever. Lots of viruses going around, it doesn't hurt to have a little extra protection. You don't want to go home halfway through saturday!
If you're cosplaying, make sure you have emergency repair kit or someone who can do quick repairs. it's never fun to break a heel and retire a costume instantly.
DO GET SLEEP. I know you feel like you'll miss something but you'll miss more if you pass out from exhaustion.
Bring emergency money....extra food, a taxi maybe....you should just prepare for anything.
Come with friends, but make new ones there.....i haven't met a mean person yet at NDK.
Respect the staff, they're your friends. always and forever.
Don't let that one drama queen ruin the whole con for you. or make you miss the concert. It sucked last year because we were staying RIGHT ACROSS from the band, and do we get to go? no. of course not. So, in short, leave the drama queens at home.
Try and do everything you can within reason. You'll make better memories that way.
Don't be afraid to ask for pictures!
Carry around a small bag for money and camera and cellphone, etc. Pockets get full fast.
and remember.....have fun! hope to see you guys there shortly. ^^

Oh I'll say this to, bring plenty of back up batteries.  I bring more than I'll ever need just incase they suddenly are dead(which happened one year), or if I go through power a lot more than I expect to(which hasn't happened yet).  But it's always good to be prepared.
And one thing I've done ever since I've started bringing plenty of money for con, is to set aside an amount for emergencies/food/room cost/pre-reg for next year.  I do it so i don't accidentally use up that money on dealer room stuff.  Which is good.  Now if I get to sunday and I absolutely need that money for spending and don't need it, great a little extra cash for last day purchases.  But that's never happened yet, still I feel a lot better knowing I have that amount set aside.  So bring an envelope or something and stick it in the bottom of your bag or somewhere safe.

I agree with FrejaXepher, do your best not to let the drama queens/kings ruin your mood.  It's only 3 days so try to enjoy it isntead of dwelling on one stupid person.  Now there are things that could be serious issues, but the minor stuff just take in stride.

A big one, for the love of whatever higher power you may or may not believe in, in the dealer's room DO NOT stop in the middle of the lanes.  There are areas to the sides throughout the room where you can step off to call a friend or stop and gloat over the schwag you purchased, or if you're having a chat with someone that can't be done while moving.  It's REALLY irritating for con goers and staff alike to find the way blocked by someone.  And definitely for the staff because they have to be the bad guy and wade in to get the person moving, and I'm sure the staff doesn't like being the bad guy(of course on a different board topic people are saying how they prefer the bad guys....so I could be wrong hehe).

With pictures, never be afraid to ask but try and do it off to the side, no one really likes having the way blocked by someone taking a picture.  Really the main thing I think is to be aware and courteous of others around you at the con no matter what your doing.

I think it's funny when people are too nervous to ask for pictures. Because, if they didn't want their picture taken, they wouldn't be wearing a costume (any evidence to the contrary is so few and far between that I just made it a general statement.)

lol, I totally love having my picture taken in cosplay! but not so much when I'm obviously doing something (like talking on the phone...) if you want my picture that badly, wait or find me later. It's a small con and I'm around a lot. True for almost anybody.

I've made an important discovery.. if u do not know what hotel ndk is at look for tails. if u see a larg cluster of people with tails ask or follow them. they are probably going to the con as well. u may think its funny but it helped me my first year ^-^

I pre-registered and am wondering about the type of photo ID needed as the only kind I have in an old school ID from a few years ago. I was wondering if that would be sufficient. Also would library or debit cards be acceptable?

Well I do not have a driver's license yet and will get one soon but just not soon enough. The school id is from my last school and my current one does not have ids. I do plan bring cash for buying things but I was wondering if a debit card or anything else would be sufficient for use as an id.

If all else fails, you can just bring your confirmation E-mail.
Actually, that's recommended anyway.

I think that if you have your School ID, a card with the name on it (I say the library card might be better. You have to prove your address to get one of those for cryin' out loud >_< ), and the confirmation E-mail, there's no reason you should be hung up.

Thanks so much for the quick response. I will be sure to bring a library card and a printed version of my confirmation E-mail on Friday.
