'Sign' question

We're planning our skit and we have a couple props that have text on them that is intended to be read by the audience (in this case, books).  Do these count as signs?  I can privately run all instances by you if need be.  We just want to know before we record audio so we can incorporate it into the audio if the props are a no-go.  Thanks!

As an ops type person, I would say that as long as you use the books only in the contest, and you don't use them while walking the rest of the con floor, I think you should be ok.

Ok.  I just really want to be sure since the contest itself seems to have a separate 'no signs' rule.  What I'm more trying to establish is if these count as signs at all. They're just book titles (that exist in the real world) and one 'chapter title' that is not official, but is totally G rated.

We go off of whatever Ops says so if they say its ok then its ok by me! If they're just titles of books then you'll be just fine. ^__^
