Frying Pans
« on: June 21, 2012, 04:04:00 pm »
Awkward title, I know.
Anyway, I have been planning on being Hungary this year for the NDK and I was wondering if Frying Pans are allowed, real ones.
I went to Wasabi this year and they allowed me to have mine, just not to hit anyone.
Would they be okay to bring?
Or would I have to make a paper mache one? If so, I'm fine with that.
But bringing a real frying pan would be more convenient because I am very busy over the summer and school starts several weeks before the NDK, for me.
If so possible, please tell me!
Thank you~

(borderline necropost, but it's within 60 days!)

A friend of mine is wondering this exact same thing for this exact same reason and she'd like to know if a real frying pan is okay or not as well.

Well,
I just read the rules and it said something about live steel...
I don't know if it would be considered 'live steel'.
So, maybe I'll just message them tomorrow about it and I'll tell you when I get a reply.

The term "live steel" refers to the sharp steel edge of a sword.

I think with everything else you haveta check in with ops for the peace bond shpeal.

That'd be my opinion, but you never know.

Hiya! I think a cheap aluminum/non stick one would be fine, but not a heavy cast iron pan. Same rules would still apply, please bring it to us in OPS so we can inspect it, give you the safety talk and have it peace bonded. Please make sure the handle is secure, has rounded edges.

Agreed.
The great and powerful Ruckus will see you now. Pay no attention to the large man in ops on the computer, that's just James.

And who says bumping posts aren't effective? ;)

Thanks for the clarification. I'm sure my friend will also be thrilled to know she won't be the only Hungary there this year, either. :D

Thank you, everyone!

And tell her I'd love to meet her at the Hetalia photoshoot this year also! :D
