6.4 magnitude quake hits japan today.

A magnitude 6.4 earthquake has hit off the coast of Japan, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The quake struck early on Monday about 72 miles southeast of Morioka on Japan's Pacific coast.
No reports of damage or injuries was immediately available. A tsunami warning has not been issued.

EDIT: A new news article has revealed that because of the distance from the epicenter, it sounds like the quake will not cause severe damage to the islands. Hooray.
