My Rather Otaku-ish Math Project c:
« on: May 02, 2012, 08:56:28 am »
Hello fellow con-goers!

I'm doing a project in my math class about anime conventions (and it seems that I'm not the only one!) and I figured this would be the best place to get my data. ^u^

If you're willing to help, please just post a response answering these two questions:
1) How many conventions have you been to?
2) How many of those conventions have you cosplayed at?

Thanks in advance!

So far, I have been to 15 conventions total, and have cosplayed at 12 of them.

Distinct conventions (not counting number of years)? I've been to 4
Conventions (counting occurrences with # years)? 31

Cosplayed at probably 25 of those instances

Conventions where cosplay is an actual activity: 2

Cosplayed at both of them.

If you're counting conventions that don't involve cosplay, then I've been to probably 15 or so
Tell me now. Is there a man among you here? Is there no one who will stand up and try to fight?

Copying Maggie in my method of answering
Distinct conventions (not counting number of years)? I've been to 9
Conventions (counting occurrences with # years)? 54

Cosplayed at 51 of those instances

*Edit - Updated numbers because I forgot about a couple of cons. >_>

I am a little confused by the wording of the questions. The only 2 anime conventions I have attended are NDK (5 times: cosplayed at 3 times) and Supper fun sized Minnie con (1 time: did not cosplay at).

Not true, I saw the pics you posted from StarFest

I specified “Anime” as the type of conventions I was listing because I believed that’s what was specified as the type of convention in the question

Starfest (3 times: Cosplayed 1 time)

Sorry for the confusion with the question. I guess I wasn't specific enough... but it really doesn't matter. :P

Thanks for contributing to my data collection everyone. c:
