Question about walk-ons and skits?
« on: February 25, 2012, 07:00:56 pm »
I read that you have to make your own cosplay in order to do walk ons and skits but i would like to confirm that. also how do you register for a skit or walk on and submit a script for a skit?

Tell me now. Is there a man among you here? Is there no one who will stand up and try to fight?

If you're confused, it would be helpful if you stated exactly what you found confusing.

i was confused about the costumes for one thing, is it optional to create your own costumes or do you have to make your own for the skits and walk ons? Also, i didnt really understand how the registering worked because it said something about registering with the convention before online or something or other. i also didnt understand the different levels of registration i think.

You must be pre registered for the con before you can enter for the costume contest. Walk on and skit are two different ways of participating in the costume contest. Walk on means that you walk onto the stage and move about so that people can see your costume. You don't speak. Skits are usually groups of cosplayers that act out a short scene.

Yes, you must make your costume, it is a costume contest. If you did not make the costume then you are model and the costumer must be entered into the contest.

Levels are based on experience and age.
