Standard hotel rooms appear to be sold out. Outside balcony still available.

I decided not to do the time fight for the atrium room this year; but I didn’t think I would lose the opportunity to get a room in the Marriot DTC on the first day the link came out.

Found the outside balcony rooms for friday and saturday. It didnt show the outside balcony rooms the first time I tried because, I had check in on thursday.

I just went for a regular room. I figured I didn't need the hassle of trying to get an atrium room while I'm at work.

i got kicked out. then got my res. 3 1/2 minutes in saturday night was already sold out one of these years i am going to get that room and do my hello kitty world balcony!

So I was one of the tens of thousands of people trying to get Book of Mormon tickets on sunday. Little did I know that frantic information-inputting would help me out today... I learnt that I have my credit card number mostly memorized after all that. o_O

So congrats to all that got a room, and I feel your frustration with websites for those who didn't get the type of room they wanted.

Curucar, I was trying to get tickets for BoM and unfortunately they were all sold out by the time we got there.

Looks like we've had some cancellations. Standard rooms are currently available again from Thursday-Monday morning. Get them while you can! (And keep checking back if you miss it, because this is what it'll be like from now until September).

Also, we're seeing more availability on Thursday and Sunday nights for Standard and Outer Balcony rooms. If you were unable to add those to your stay and you wanted to do so, call PassKey to modify your reservation: 1-877-303-0104. DO NOT call the Marriott directly.

Just curious, what's the difference between standard rooms and outside balcony rooms?

The standard rooms are in the tower on the north side of the hotel.
The balcony rooms are in the atrium side of the hotel with balconies that go outside.

Also, there's a price difference. The balconies are more expensive.

I thought Balcony rooms are all rooms that line the outside of the hotel?  Last year my room was a Outside Balcony room and I was in the tower.

Are there balconies in the tower? O_o Hm. I was unaware.

There are a few balcony rooms in the tower.  They face either the short tower or the highway as far as I remember.  There rest of the outside balcony rooms are on the short tower.

So there's some on both sides.
