A question on how the passkey system works.
« on: January 03, 2012, 09:44:31 am »
So! This year I'm going to try to snag an atrium room!  Now I realize that these are limited, in high demand, and on a first come first serve basis.. buut I'm wondering about something.  When reserving through the pass key system does it

A. Set your reservation aside so to speak as soon as you click the link or..

B. Nothing is set until you fill out all the fields.

The reason I'm asking is, I'm afraid that even if I get to the link the minute reservations open up, I might miss out due to typing a bit slower, or my browser not loading as fast..

Thank you!

Sadly, I know these things all too well. It only holds it once you fill out the page. However, it took an hour last year to fill up all the atrium rooms. So as long as you don't type too slow and your internet isn't taking too long, there still is a chance that you could get one. Once the hotel rooms open up to reservation, could you comment on whether you got one or not? I would love to know. Thanks!

Actually it was somewhere between 3-6 hours that the atrium rooms sold out last year (I don't believe we have the exact time) but compared to 2010's couple of weeks that's amazingly fast.

With the promise that we will be notified prior to the actual opening date I wouldn't be surprised if it goes even quicker this year.
Tell me now. Is there a man among you here? Is there no one who will stand up and try to fight?
