The only suggestion I would have is to see if the screens could be raised a little bit higher than they have been the last few years. I've had to sit in the back because of having the kids and the stroller, and even being 6'2" I was losing the bottom third of the screens to people's heads, and my daughter had to stand on the seats to watch.

If you think that's bad, the first time my friends and I went, one friend and I ended up standing way in the back, and it's harder to see back there. But I know what you mean, the AMV contest event kinda reminds me of a rock concert or something, with as crowded as it gets. But I think it's pretty much the most popular event there, or one of them at least.

Oh wait... Nevermind that first part, I kinda misread. My bad. Another question, mostly just out of curiosity, but it seems like the amvs have taken on more of a... I don't know whether to say "artistic" feel to them or... I dunno just the videos the last couple years seem to have a different feel to them than the previous years that I was there. Maybe it's just me. *Shrug*

Rex had this in 2007, also in movie maker and it made the finals.

You  Don't need fancy software to make a good video. Just need time, patience, a good idea and Focus.

We do our best to have areas that cater to those who can't tolerate the very overwhelming high volumes that occur at these events, but taking the time to hold seats for people that may not even show up when we have limited number of seats already and we have to turn many people away isn't a viable option at this time.
I would like to know more about options you give to those with sensory issues for panels and events. thank you.

O_O I think I remember the Let it Rock video... That was one of both mine and my friend's favorites... That was made with WMM?! Are you serious? O.O I wouldn't have guessed that, it's too good. Seriously.... I've never been able to get anything that good on WMM... Is there something I'm missing here? Time, patience, that's not a problem, usually neither are ideas... even if I do focus, mine never come out very good...

Well if it's quality of the clips that you're struggling with, this guide on amv.org really helped me out a lot
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/avtech31/index.html
It's the most up to date version of the guide, though I tend to use an older one myself, as I use an older version of the amv app than I probably should.
Also don't feel down about not making it into the contest. This will be my third attempt at the amv contest, and I've never made it in either, and I'm using Sony Vegas (Now adobe since I finally built my new computer and can run it), but in the years I've been attempting I really feel like my amv quality has improved. So I guess while I can see where you're coming from with the tiers thing, I still wouldn't like it even if it meant my amv got in to the contest, because it wouldn't help me improve any. Even looking at the amvs I've sent in to past cons, I still feel I've improved a lot. Just keep trying and I'm sure you and I will have our day when our amvs get in.
