Yeah I dunno. I think he may have had a mental disorder or something. Which, you know, not a big deal. It was just like..trying to communicate with someone who doesn't speak the same language. I didn't want to take advantage of him just to make money ^^;

Just like a number of other people, I usually get my fits of shyness around VAs. I try to make small talk about a show they've done, meanwhile I think to myself, "Say something INTERESTING" or "Don't blow this." Or something like that. Some of the first guests I ever met were Uncle Yo (anime comedian), Kyle Herbet, Steve Benett (Artist), Wendy Powell, and Monica Rial and Mike Sinterniklass. Each encounter was different.

With Kyle it was pretty chill and Wendy was nice. Monica is nice every time I've seen her (3 times), especially about past characters she's played from animes not too many people talk about, mine was kodocha. Steve was similar. Dressed as L and having played a few rounds of FLUXX, you'd think Uncle Yo wouldn't be looking at me like I had a Death Note in the pic we took together D:

The weirdest guest encounter though was Mike. At my second con, I was in line, with my friends, for his autograph cuz he was from Kappa Mikey. So I start singing that theme song. He hears and recognizes when it's one of my friends' turn. I tell him that he's cool, all shy of course, and ask that if he ever sees the guy who plays Gonard (Sean Schemmel) to tell him the same. So, Mike being Mike, whips out his cell and speed dials Sean. He tells him was I said, introducing me as a sweet person. He hands me the phone to boot. Sean and i proceeded to talk about what he was doing: getting food from the fridge and and watching the Discovery Channel while only in boxers. And to top this off, Mike and my 'friend' start filming me blushing like one of Romano's tomatoes while I talk to a boxer-clad Sean Schemmel. And later, I find out he voices Goku. On reflecting, I wish I had spoken to him longer XD

Then last year, at a local con, I was in the dealer's room I heard a couple of dudes whispering. All I manage to hear or course is, "I think she's cosplaying Lolita." I flip around to find them looking at me and my friend. She was Aerith, so I looked at what I was wearing and laughed. They had been talking about me. The sad part was that I wasn't even cosplaying that year XD

(After Con) Same con, one year earlier, the con photographer asked to take a pic of me. I was Xion from KH. I did. Later my friend tells me that she was asked by him to hook us up. I just thought it was awkward cuz he's older than me, but also that didn't even ask me to my face.

Akward~~~~~
Nikoru-san, I've always considered getting autographs but I'm always thinking 'Go up there and say something INTERESTING' or 'If your going to run away, now is a good time.' Either way, I've never gotten an autograph.
One of the akward moments from last NDK was when I approached one of my friends dressed as Quistis Trepe from Final Fantasy VIII. I greeted him, saying "Hi how's it going? You enjoying the con?" and my friend stared at me for a while before saying "Who the f*ck are you?" His girlfriend (another friend of mine) told him who I was and he apologized before telling me that he like my Quistis cosplay and that I was creative in crocheting my whip.~

Almost all of my cons have been awkward free except for a couple times. :P  I was asking a fellow who was cosplaying Hakuoro from Utawarerumono and he kinda got a pissed off look on his face as he stood off to the side and I snapped a pic. If you dont want your pic taken then dont cosplay! lol Another one would be when some friends of mine were trying to pressure me into getting some "con romance" this last con and some older woman over hears and starts looking me over as I walk to my room... o_0;;

@Freya, has this prevented you from getting some of your fave VA's autographs? I'm not trying to pressure you, but I am sure you have plenty of interesting things to say. So maybe this year will be the year to get some NDK guest autographs!

Oh, I don't like when I can't recognize people I've met before. When you see them later on, it's awkward. I remember little about them. But for some reason, I don't forget cosplayers and people I meet at cons as often as regular people. Aw, that sounded mean D:

@Kagemusha, careful where you point your  camera...just kidding. Yeah, uncooperative cosplayers are a hassle D:
I'm sorry, but the second one made me giggle a bit. Was it your friends' "language" or the way they put it?

I don't like to hear the oddest parts of peoples' open conversations. It happens to me just as often. XD

Nikoru-san, I've always considered it but I find certain panals and events I would like to see during times when autographs are going on. I'm considering it this year, but it will determine on the guests.

Another weird moment. A while back before I did cosplay or ran around in costumes. I was going to get bags from the car and someone asked if they could get a picture. I stood there like a deer in the headlights, mostly confused because I wasn't wearing a costume. I turned around to see if he was talking to someone else and saw a horde of zombies (some from resident evil). I went to move out of the way but a zombie grabbed my hand. The guy with the camera said "Oh you can be the picture too. Just let them eat you." he said with glee. I would imagine somewhere is a picture of me being nommed by zombies. Don't get me wrong, it was a nice moment, but I felt a little embarressed for walking in the middle of a picture shot.

Awkward moment at Winter Comiket 2009: when the organizers realized I had entered the cosplay area without signing in (they let me be when they realized I wasn't Japanese)
