ANYWHO,
I'm hoping to gather some feedback from anyone who attended the panel, "Symbolism and Eastern Storytelling in Anime". I had not anticipated how successful or popular this panel would be, and I was shocked that we only had about 3 or 4 walkouts, and 7 or 8 latecomers, so we actually had a net GAIN of attendees. In light of that, Chris and I are discussing presenting this panel again in either 2012 or 2013, so I just wanted to know what people thought of the presentation. Already in consideration is the inclusion of more multimedia, such as clips from series, and more authoritative quotes. We also intend to change up the contemporary anime discussed for variety's sake.
Other than that, what did you think? What did you like? What can we improve? Was it too long? Too short? How can we generate even more critical discussion? Any thoughts you have, let me know! Thanks!
