But I've been using the second one on this site since I joined it a couple years ago. So I'm not sure why it wouldn't work now.

We're on a different version of the forum software than we were a while back. That may be why it doesn't work now.

Try using a resized image.

It's still not working. No clue what else to try.

Have you tried hosting it on another service (my favorite is imgur)?  Might be worth a shot, and you can make the picture private or delete it as you see fit.
