There's already a thread for this somewhere in the forum from 2010, but since it's a new year and a new NDK I figured we should start fresh. If this thread has already been started for this year I apologize but someone needs to tell me where it is because I sure as hell couldn't find it.
That said, I'll begin. People who made my NDK special...
My comrades from UW in Laramie, Wyoming, especially Amanda Benson. She will be leaving for a semester-long exchange trip to Kobe College in Japan, so this NDK was the last time our group got to hang together in full force. Sort of a last hurrah so to speak.
My cousin, Shilo, whom I invited with the pass that was supposed to be for my ex-girlfriend (we broke up this past summer, sadly.) She was a lot of fun to have around. My friends enjoyed her company as well. I'm glad she was able to join us for the weekend and enjoy herself.
My aunt and Shilo's mother, Yuriko-san, who was ok with letting her daughter crash with her older cousin and a bunch of other college students for an entire weekend. She also helped me out when we found out too late that Shilo didn't have enough money for the tab at the sushi restaurant we went to on Sunday. ^^\/
Shilo's boyfriend, Changa, who came Saturday so he could take her to the rave. As one of Shilo's closest male relatives, it's my job to screen her potential suitors.

If you are reading this, Changa, you passed the test. The Sutherburg family welcomes you.
A cosplayer from Salt Lake City that I met at the convention named "Red". She came up to me at the AMV contest because she heard that the AMV I submitted this year didn't make it to the contest or overload. She told me about a new category for the AMV contest at AnimeBanzai in SLC, specifically for AMV editors with less than 4 videos total over the course of their career.
Another cosplayer named Nicole who went as Izaya Orihara from Durarara!! I went as Shizuo this year, and a few of you on Saturday may have seen me chasing her across the Wendy's parking lot brandishing a parking sign.
A group of girls that I met in the elevator at the Hilton Gardens, who complimented me on my Shizuo cosplay.
Everyone else at the con who complimented me/hugged me/took pictures of me in my Shizuo cosplay.
The guys at the cosplay contest who cheered for me when I was onstage as Amanda Benson's stage ninja, holding that weird bat thingy and flapping its wings up and down.
The lady at the front desk at the Hilton Gardens on Friday night. She was very helpful and polite, even at 0330 in the morning when I came downstairs to use the internet and buy snacks at the little convenience store thingy by the front desk. Wish I could remember her name, I'd write to the Hilton and compliment her on her customer service.
The staff at the Taco Bell across the interstate, especially the one lady who thought my cousin and I were a dating couple, for putting us into a massively awkward situation that we will probably be still laughing about years later.
My friend Stubbs for driving me down to the con, especially because we had to go out of our way to pick up my cousin in Boulder. I would recommend getting a better GPS though, because I still don't know how the hell we ended up in Westminister when we should have turned off I-25 into Longmont.
The Link cosplayer in the green room for the Intermediate section of the cosplay contest. Not only was your cosplay amazing, but it was fun talking about all things Legend of Zelda with you.
The vendor at Artist's Alley who sells the steampunk jewelry made out of cannibalized watches and clocks. I found a nice ring at your table that I bought and I will be sending it to an old high school friend in Memphis for her 21st birthday.
Everyone on Deviant Art who has commented, favorited, or otherwise mentioned the cosplay pictures I took. If you want to see them this is my page:
