It really means a lot to me that I made it into the overload, since it's the first real AMV I've ever made.

I'm probably going blind and just can't find it on the schedule but, when and where is the overload happening? ^_^

That is awesome! Tough competition this year, that'll make for a great contest for the audience!  8)

And even just making it into Overload is awesome, since I know you guys got like....what? 250 entries or somewhere around there?

Didn't make it in this year... fair enough. I'm still proud of mine, and it was my first anyway so it didn't really have a chance.

I'll make it public on Youtube and AMV.org a bit early since it won't be showing at the con.

I can't believe I made it into overload. 1st year for me. I'll admit, i'm a little bummed that i'm not a finalist, but that only inspires me to get better for next year. Can't wait to watch all of the AMVs!

Yeah, will be going as Shizuo Hewajima from Durarara!! this year, you'll probably see me with my Japanese cousin who will be cosplaying as Nana. (I'm Caucaisian though, how I have a Japanese cousin is a bit of a long story). I'll be with a cosplay group from Wyoming, most of them are going as Naruto characters though.

Oh, and I wasn't trying to flame you or anything, I thought you were b----ing and I was kind of thinking "you're not the only one who didn't make the cut" so sorry about the above post.

Sounds fun. I'll be going as Barry Burton from Resident Evil with a friend of mine who'll be cosplaying as the Classic Skin Ermac from Mortal Kombat. Such and odd pair, right?

And, it's fine. I've been making these things ever since 2006, so it's kinda hard to make something...FRESH AND NEW for the year. Instead, probably just remake one of my old ones. :)

Sorry, we had friends over before the con and were pretty busy once we got to the convention itself, I'll get to feedback on all the videos in a day or two.



Also, excellent contest! Was one of the best experiences I've had in a long time :3

While I'm sad I didn't get to compete with either of my videos, I am definitely happy one of my videos made it into the Overload area. Guess there is work to be done for next year. Hopefully by then I'll have my art down to a science and won't spend months on a single video. xD

Honestly the best contest I've seen in a long, loooooooong time.  The main thing being that there were no bad videos or categories at all.  Hell, getting any one category full of videos that are all great is unheard of right now, let alone ALL OF THEM.
