Author Topic: NDK 2011: Will there by Thursday night pre-reg pickup again? (Read 1273 times)

NDK 2010 had a "day 0" of sorts that worked amazingly well: we were able to pick up our pre-reg badges Thursday night, for those of us checking in early or dropping by to avoid the line on Friday. Is this going to happen again? Please say its so!

(Sorry if this question has been addressed already, I looked but couldn't find the answer)

I would like to know this too. But I also have a question: The site says that pre-reg pick up on Friday starts at 11. But I know in previous years when I did not pre-reg, I was able to get in line to buy a badge at 11. So does pre-reg start earlier at all? Just need to know what time to get there. xD

We're currently finalizing exact times and such. But yes, Thurs pre-reg pickup will return. More details soon.

Awesome! I will be there this year for that, and it clears up my Friday morning to get all my cosplay and art contest stuff put together. I really appreciate the Thursday pick up.

Sure you can.

From the Registration FAQ:

Sure, if you have their photo ID, their confirmation e-mail, or a signed letter from them explicity authorizing you to pick up their badge along with photo ID for yourself.

Sweet I will be down there Thursday all day and have volunteered for some dealer's room stuff, if you need any help just let me know I will be more than willing to lend a hand

We'll be opening up pre-registration pickup no later than 7:00 PM on Thursday. We'll try to open up earlier than that if we can manage.

I noticed in the update that it says you'd open at 7:00, but it doesn't say when you'd close. If I show up an hour later will no one be there? Two hours? Three? What's the specifics?

We'll close around 10:00. We'll be pretty lenient about the closing time, so if you only show up a few minutes after 10:00, you'll still be able to pick up your badge. But if you show up at 10:30 or 11:00, well, chances aren't so good.

sounds like the only way to fly. I'll swing by after work on thursday and grab my daughter's and mine. She's amazingly excited. we just about finished her costume this week. I think the long weekend will be all we need to wrap it up.
