is my costume going to get me in trouble?
« on: August 09, 2011, 03:50:42 pm »
for my Pyramid Head costume I will have a skin colored leotard on so it looks like im a shirtless boy covered in blood not a girl :)
is this going to constitute "nudity"
cause if if it does....>_>......my costume isn't ruined per say...but the effect of is is majorly diminished

also...I'm hoping to enter the costume contest with this costume...so are the rules for the contest also going to make it so i cant wear this?

Unfortunately, I'd say so...it falls under "Implied nudity".  Can you make a toga-style outfit instead?  One that covers your chest entirely?  You could wear it over the leotard for added "security". ;p

hmmmm...ok. well now that i know that..I guess ill make changes.

as for the costume contest...will the judges be lenient about inaccuracy due to the implied nudity rule?

They're very lenient when it comes to keeping within the rules.  After all, there are many costumes that have bare feet, and you still have to have shoes.

If you used "bloody bandages" would that help a little?

Also, I don't think you can enter Pyramid Head into the costume contest. It's not anime or Japanese culture... :/

pyramid head is japanese related, the game is by konami. thus japanese video game related.

that aside...bandages might be a really good substitute!

You can also come with the bloody leotard and bring a bandage backup.  Then if you go immediately to Ops first thing for their endorsement, you may be able to do the original, and you'll be ready and prepared to add bandages if you need to add them...

The bloodied leotard should be fine, but please drop by so we can see if it is too revealing.

Thank you!
