Want to make friends at NDK this year?

Hello ;D So last year I went to NDK and had loads of fun! But...... I didn't end up leaving with any new friends  :'( even though I was really wanting to make some new friends that also liked anime/magna/video games/cosplaying and so on.....  :-[ So my point is.... I have a New NDK year resolution! :D To meet lots of new people and hopefully walk away with lasting friendships and people who will cosplay with me finally!!! XP Especially anyone who lives on the western slope (ie Grand Junction, Delta, Montrose and so on)... But the Denver area works fine too! SO.... Who's up for making some new friends at NDK 2011?!?!? Or starting the friendship right now on this post?!?!?  ;)

I like the idea of a New NDK Year resolution :) I always say I'm going to make some new friends at NDK but then I always end up hanging out with the people I know, haha.

Oh well, I guess I'll try harder this year :)

Hey so I totally understand what you mean. All of my friends have moved away in the past year or two and last year when I went to NDK I really wanted to make some new friends who are into the same stuff I am into like anime, manga, cosplaying and japanese music. But last year the only two people who I became friends with lived a state away and now we barely talk. Lately I have been just watching a lot of anime alone or sometimes with my boyfriend when I finally get him to budge after asking him all the time. So I am totally up for being friends with you as well as making new friends. I live in the Denver area by the way.

Don't be afraid to stop by prop check!  We might be extremely busy, but if you catch us during downtime we'll gladly chat a bit!

I know what you mean. I've lived in Denver area pretty much all my life and 99% of my friends who are into anime and manga live overseas. I'm up for meeting new people even though I come off really serious and severe. I'm really not, I'm just paiiiiinfully shy.

i'll be all of your guys friend!me and my little sis,chara-chan,have been wanting to meet new people at NDK for the past 3-4 years we've been going!but whenever we did meet someone they world always ditch usT.Tso we want to meet some people who'll actually hang around and talk and hang out.so why don't we meet up or something at NDK this year?this goes for anyone who wants to have 2 new otaku friends!We want to meet new people and create lasting friendships with anyone and everyone!^-^

Yes I like your idea. We should meet up at NDK sometime. Like pick an area and time to all meet up. I think this will be a good way for us to all actually meet each other and kick off our new friendships  :) We can call it like NDK New Friendship Meetup or something lol. I just like the idea

I'd love to make some friends myself.  I just moved to Englewood, CO from Pittsburgh, PA.  My wife and I haven't met anyone yet.  I haven't even seen anyone yet that even appeared to be into anime, games, etc.  I was hoping to come to Nan Desu Kan to meet some people but I haven't even found a job yet so I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to make it this year unfortunately.   :(

Yeah, I get the same thing, except for the fact that once people hear my voice, their opinion automatically changes.

I'm a big guy, I wear mostly black, and I have tattoos and I have a high nerdy voice. It's odd.
