1. How long have you been attending?
This will be my 3rd year.

2. What are some of your favorite things about this convention?
My favorite thing is people watching! There are so many great costumes and people that I have fun just walking around the convention center. :P

3. What are some things you'd recommend for a newcomer?
Pick out a couple things that you really want to do/see and then work the rest of your plans around those things.

4. (For those who remember 1985) If you've were at NDK in any of the previous two years, what was it like being at an anime convention on the anniversary of one of the greatest moments in sports, September 11th, 1985? It was on that date when Pete Rose broke baseball's all-time hit record.
Heh, I was not around yet for that one. :)

5. Who are some of your favorite guests you've met?
I can't remember her name at the moment, but the first autograph I ever got was last year from the woman who voiced Rita in Powers Rangers and a plethora of other characters. The Robotech people last year were super cool too.  :D

6. Which guests are you looking forward to meeting this year?
I actually haven't looked at the list yet.  :o lol

7. Who do you plan to cosplay this year?
I will be Kei Yuuki from Harlock Saga. There is a group of us from Harlock, so keep a look out.  ;)

These questions were a lot of fun to answer. I hope you have fun this year!

one my favorite new things NDK does is the balcony contests. i've seen some fabulous stuff going on, like the dancing no-face.
I can't believe I forgot that part! That is definitely a site to see!  ;D

1. How long have you been attending?
3 years.

2. What are some of your favorite things about this convention?
Just wandering around and the feeling of being surrounded by people that are (for the most part) just like you is just fantastic.

3. What are some things you'd recommend for a newcomer?
Don't be afraid to try and be social (I still have a problem with this one). It's one of the few places where you'll be able to go up to anyone and have a conversation right off the bat.
Also, make sure you're well nourished.

4. (For those who remember 1985) If you've were at NDK in any of the previous two years, what was it like being at an anime convention on the anniversary of one of the greatest moments in sports, September 11th, 1985? It was on that date when Pete Rose broke baseball's all-time hit record.
Yes.

5. Who are some of your favorite guests you've met?
Aaron Dismuke and Wendy Powell were two of the nicest people I've ever met.

6. Which guests are you looking forward to meeting this year?
I'm not really sure

7. Who do you plan to cosplay this year?
Magnet Akaito, and that's probably gonna be it.
If you don't know what to make your signature, make this your signature. People might get mad when they read it though. I mean, all you're really doing is blathering on about nothing and taking up time that they could be using doing something productive like posting.

I plan to attend Nan Desu Kan for the first time this year and am really excited about it.
I have some questions I'd like to ask for those who have attended before.

Ok sure I'll give this a go :D
1. How long have you been attending?  Uhh I think this will make my 4th NDK.
2. What are some of your favorite things about this convention? That its fan ran and not corporate.  It makes it much more relaxed and FUN!
3. What are some things you'd recommend for a newcomer?  Have FUN!  and remember to keep hydrated ;)  Important to all but especially those of us not use to the altitude ^^;
4. (For those who remember 1985) If you've were at NDK in any of the previous two years, what was it like being at an anime convention on the anniversary of one of the greatest moments in sports, September 11th, 1985? It was on that date when Pete Rose broke baseball's all-time hit record.  Sorry can't answer this one.  A: wasn't at the con and B: not a baseball geek.
5. Who are some of your favorite guests you've met? Ohh their was the voice of the Lich King!  he was great fun last year, or was it year before.  LOL my life blurs together >.<  And I loved the Japanese guests from the radio talk show my first con.  They were cute and fun.  I'm anxiously waiting for the Japanese guest announcements for this year!
6. Which guests are you looking forward to meeting this year?  Oops just answered this question above.
7. Who do you plan to cosplay this year? I plan to go as an original steampunk persona!  :D  that is if i can get the darn outfit done!

I hope you have fun at your first con Cecil!

1. How long have you been attending?
This'll be year nine for me

2. What are some of your favorite things about this convention?
I love the Dealer's Room, even just wandering around.  And Artist Alley is definitely a treat sometimes since there's always odd things in it.  Though without any money this year(sad poorness), I'll be checking out more of the panels and just wandering around aimlessly with friends.

3. What are some things you'd recommend for a newcomer?
Eating actual food, sleeping...no seriously, do those things it's easy to get caught up in the rush of NDK, but eat properly and sleep properly.  Aside from that though I hesitantly recommend the Anime Videos.  I say hesitant because in my personal opinion most of the videos just are sub par, so to me I've seen better years in the past but ever since the move to the marriott...well anyway check out the panels it's a great place to meet people who have similar interests and you can hang with throughout the con.

4. (For those who remember 1985) If you've were at NDK in any of the previous two years, what was it like being at an anime convention on the anniversary of one of the greatest moments in sports, September 11th, 1985? It was on that date when Pete Rose broke baseball's all-time hit record.
Yeah, that was the year I was born, so can't help you there.

5. Who are some of your favorite guests you've met?
Hands down Monica Rial, my fav voice actress.  Even got to ride the elevator up with her Sunday morning, alone, and chat.  I admit I'm not the type to go gaga fanboy but I was that year, couldn't help it.  And Chris Patton was totally awesome, I was there last year at his final Chris Patton Says Too Much panel and the dude rocks.  Plus it was funny because I got up during his Q&A and asked his to reenact his Sousuke(from Full Metal Panic) sex scene, which is hilarious.

6. Which guests are you looking forward to meeting this year?
Uh, quite a few though I don't want to go hunt names but there are a few I'm looking forward to getting this year.

7. Who do you plan to cosplay this year?
I don't necessarily cosplay.  Well I have a ninja mask, and a ninja monkey t-shirt that I wear.  I crafted my own stuffed Ninja Monkey I carry around most of the con and call myself the Ninja Monkey Master.  I just don't have the time or money(mainly money) to do a costume of an actual character from anything.  But my Ninja Monkey does get hugs occasionally which I find humorous.
