What does your forum/ screen name mean ?
« on: June 21, 2011, 02:32:05 pm »
Every time I meet a forum member in person, they always say my forum name with a big question mark in their voice; so I am going to explain what the name Osias means and how it became my forum name.

The definition below is the simple and extended definition. The simple definition of the name osias is “Salvation” and the name is originated from Greek.

I chose the name meaning "salvation" for a videogame character who is a protagonist character that save the world in the game. Whenever I play videogames which do not have default character names, I always try to find a name the matches the characters role/personality.

The name is not the name I registered my account with. I registered my account with the name “Fanaddican” a sort of American term for someone like an Otaku. The name “Fanaddican” used to be a common screen name for me, but I thought it would be perceived on an anime forum, as me labeling myself an otaku; so I quickly changed my name, and out of laziness I just changed my name to the name of the video game character of the game I was currently playing.

If anybody else would like to share how they came up with their forum/screen name and why they use it; please feel free to do so.

Mine has some meaning. The nemisis portion is from my love of RE3 back in Middle School and though its obviously misspelled, it oddly followed me on the forums. 47 part is my love of the Hitman games and since I also cosplayed 47 it followed me too.

Locke Cole is my favorite character, from my all time favorite game Final Fantasy VI. Locke was also my very first Cosplay at NDK 2010. He's always had a special place in my heart. So, that was the nickname I chose to use for this forum. :]

I use my name, if you can't tell! XD I feel that my name is unique enough that I don't need to hide it with a screen name or forum name. :3 IF for some reason that Shareece is taken I will throw my middle name in too, so ShareeceDesiree.
Smile! It does a body good. Or at least makes people wonder what you are scheming. :)

I made a similar thread ages ago, lol, but can't find it.  Was going to link to it A) because it's relevant and B) so I could be lazy and copy paste my own.

Anyway, Skrae originally came from Sara Douglass's Tencendor series.  There were creatures called Skraelings which I thought were neat, and back when I played Lineage II, I wanted to use it, but it was taken, so I dropped the "-ling," and I've used it ever since.
PSN:  Skrae     3DS:  3308-4741-5349     Steam:  Skrae (the one with The Undertaker picture)

I can also help to identify bootlegs, if you have a questionable item, send me a message and some pictures if you can and I'll get back to you when I can.

Katie has been my nickname, a shortened version of my middle name, since I was born.
The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it.

Whoa. I don't know Katie's real name... I R fail.

My original name was LunaraDeNaraku, a username I use EVERYWHERE.
I came up with Lunara when I was 12, the De I figured was kind of a connector, and Naraku was part of my villain worship in Inuyasha. :P

Now I just go buy Lunara in everyday life. It just kinda stuck.
