Now if there are two things I like, it's cosplay and tea parties. So I had the idea of mixing the two.

Would anyone here be interested in doing a cosplay tea party?

Location: It seems the location will be at the private meeting room in Panera Bread at 7344 N Academy Blvd
Colorado Springs, CO 80920
for reference, that's close to the Chapel Hills Mall.  The meeting room can seat around 20 people.

Dress code: Cosplay is open. However cosplays that fit a tea party setting are strongly encouraged, such as Pandora Hearts, Alice in Wonderland, Kuroshitsuji and others, but if you want to cosplay say... Hatsune Miku, or someone from Kingdom Hearts, that's allowed as well. Feel free to go all out with your cosplays (wigs, make up, etc) in fact, this is also encouraged! But leave props at home.  Sorry Sora, you can't bring your keyblade to the party. Alternative fashions such as Lolita are also welcome, as are normal clothes.  Also, be mindful of dress codes, please don't come in your bikini armor.

Rules: Mind your Ps and Qs.  By no means am I saying that we must all sit quietly and sip tea with our pinkies extended, but be mindful.  No screaming, no throwing food, no reenacting battle scenes... You get the idea.

DATE: 08/06/2011

Time: 3:00-5:00PM

Other: Bring your camera! Pictures will be taken!
I WILL be bringing a music player.

Fee: There will be a $3.00 entrance fee.  Why is there a fee?  I talked to Panera Bread, and while they are fine with us bringing something like a cake, they're not fine with us not buying anything. The $3.00 fee is to help ebb the cost of food, as well as decorations.  If you feel this is unfair, please say so.

Food: I will bring cupcakes.  From Panera Bread I will buy a variety of pastries to set out on the table.

Last note: PLEASE RSVP!!  Either here, or send me a PM.

and out doors sounds like it would be more fun unless it was snowing or something
not to much i can say on locations since hunt for friends that will drive around going slowly lol

I was actually talking to a few people about doing a tea party meet-up a couple days ago.
I think its a great idea!  There was talk of it happening in the springs.

I think the cosplay should be mostly open, but seires like Kuroshitsuji, Pandora hearts, HNKNA and so on~ woud be encouraged.

And I personally think it would be fun outside n-n If its a really beautiful day that is.

XD But doesn't hot tea and a hot day clash?  ;A; Lawl.  I don't mind doing it outside, though.. personally.. <_<; my crippling fear of bees makes me wary.  I suppose it's all up to whatever is the most popular.

I love this idea! Personally, I would go for indoors, but I'm fine with outdoors (I need shade though). I have allergies, but as long as I'm on my medication, I'll be fine. Thank you for thinking about this!

I really like the idea (though I also REALLY lack an appropriate costume!)

I'd prefer indoors, for hot tea, personally...

True.  Indoors might be better.  I forgot about bees, allergies, and hot tea X3
Not to mention indoors will mostly likely be cooled =>

I would love to go to this. Sadly, the Springs are too far for me at the moment. I don't know if I could pay the gas there.

Good luck with this, though. It has potential to be really lovely.

If this gets a good response, I'm definitely going to look into doing this more often, and possibly in other cities, such as Denver.

Moving onto other things, here's more info.

If it's allowed, I'll be bringing a music player.

I MAY require a small entrance fee. This is dependent on the overall costs, and if it costs anything to use the room.  I hate to do this, but considering that the party will require usage of a room, food, drinks, and possibly decorations, I would have to offset the cost somehow.  However I will try to keep it as low as possible. (within the $5-$10 range, depending)   Of course there may be no fee at all.

thoughts? suggestions?  When would you guys like to see this done?

I would be super interested in this. Colorado Springs is a bit of a drive but I'm willing to do it depending on the day. Weekends would definitely be easier to manage for me personally.

I'm still trying to think of a cosplay I can do that would be even remotely appropriate for this... The only cosplay I actually have able to be 'up and running' is Classic Joker! (Well and HL Joker, though the clothing is inaccurate.) And another cosplay I'm planning would work possibly even less (Ax from Animorphs.) Maybe I'll finally surrender to the will of my friends and go as Rukia or Len. x x

Um, if you're still trying to get people to go, try seeing if you can advertise the tea party at Rainy Day Anime.  2350 S. Academy Bvld.
Colorado Springs, CO, 80916

I've no doubt the owner would be more than happy to let you get the word out there.  I would go but I haven't the money.

I would love to do this ((: I live in the springs, and there's hardly any meet ups here. My family makes tea and hosts huge parties all the time, so I'm defiantly willing to help as well if you need any!
