I haven't seen it yet, but I remember it being mentioned at the last NDK (and fruitlessly bidding on the shirt xD).

Jeremy Owen is a longtime member of our Main Events staff at NDK. He's also an actor. When he went to audition for a role in Paul, he was wearing an NDK Staff T-shirt. The director noticed the T-shirt, thought it was awesome, and asked if he would be willing to wear it in the movie. The studio sent us and the artists who designed the shirt release forms and we were all thrilled to sign them.

Thus NDK has its first feature film debut. Tomorrow: the world!

Huge congrats go to Jeremy, of course, for landing a part in such a high-profile movie. We wish him the greatest success in his continuing acting career. (And I'm insanely jealous that he got to meet Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. They're gods among geeks.)

That's awesome! David and I are going to watch that even more willingly! Yay for Jeremy and NDK! Which NDK year was it?
Smile! It does a body good. Or at least makes people wonder what you are scheming. :)

Which staff T-shirt was it? The 2010 shirt?

Edit: Whoops. Sorry. Didn't read Shareece's post before I asked. Goof.

That's actually interesting and cool....I suppose....
Does this mean other than VAs we're going to see actual actors turning up to our con? If so...that's scary!

:D Personally, I am all for the idea of Nick Frost and Simon Pegg attending NDK, particularly Simon Pegg. Don’t get me wrong; Nick Frost is a great and funny guy, but Simon Pegg is a great and funnier guy.

I agree Osias. I wouldn't mind so long as no one knows they're coming so we don't get bogged down with people who are just there to see them and not the con itself. I think it'd be funny in they were in costume and no one recognized them.

I suppose, I hate to say it, but sometimes big name actors might have no business coming to conventions unless its comic con or something. Personally, if it became like that, then I don't want to be there. Its cool and all we appeared in some movie.

Nagi, that's not entirely fair. I mean, if they have an interest in the convention then they have just as much right to show up as any of us do. Though as aforementioned, I concur with your concerns.

Probably not, besides Jer of course who's on staff. After all thats what Starfest is for, to bring those high profile guests to Colorado.

I need to go see Paul!! ^__^

If I was in Colorado I would set up PAUL meet up. I’m sure a large group of people simultaneously squealing would perplex any non NDK folks, at the theater.  :D

Lee wants to go see Paul, but I'm out on this one, I don't do drama or comedy, I'm a sci-fi, fantasy, murder mystery, and horror nut...drama is just boring and goes nowhere and comedy isn't that a tad over done? I will just give Lee the money to go by himself

Hey guys. This is Jeremy :)

Thanks for all the kind words and stuff! Y'all should go see this movie. It's absolutely hilarious. I would have gone to see it even if I wasn't lucky enough to be in it! I'm a huge fan of Pegg and Frost and the director Greg Mottola.

Thanks for posting my IMDB, Nemesis! Most of the ones that are out are low budget horror and need all the support they can get :D

And Nagi... What about a movie where Sci-Fi crosses comedy? Paul is about an alien, you know ;)
