*plug* The Lift bar and Grill inside the marriott is fantastic *plug*

Unfortunately I can't recommend Yia Yia's. We ate there for our date on Valentines day, the food was over priced, over cooked, and under seasoned. What with small portions and poorly designed appetizers (2 whole quail on skewers, bones and all, no meat), and a pretty poor wine list.

While the service was pretty decent, considering how busy they were obviously, it's not enough for me to want to return.

The Mexican restaurant next to the Wendy's (I can't remember the name right now) has an awesome margarita. It's huge, so plan on sharing or getting fairly tipsy off of one.

Its a bit of a trek from the Marriott, but if Yia Yia's gets mention I should suggest walking/driving two more blocks south of there on DTC to Illegal Pete's.

Illegal Petes is basically a local version of Qdoba (which is also local, but also a big chain place). I work across the street from it in a big fenced in office building type thing and Pete's happy hour has saved my sanity.

Their website/menu.

I highly suggest the carnitas and super tacos, neither of which are on the menu but both of which rock this world. :D

Friday night they have a $1 taco special if you buy an adult beverage. :D I call it breakfast.

My roommates and I ordered 2 pizzas from the Blackjacks near the hotel on Saturday it was good they brought it to our room on the 8th floor and were really nice about having to wait for the elevators to get up there and were will to deliver at the time we asked for which was about 2 ½ hours after we called. They had a bigger selection of topping and sauce then most places, I can't eat tomatoes so getting pizza is hard for me but we were able to get one with a white sauce and one with red! They also have ice cream!  We got two large pizzas and I think it came to around 20 bucks. I can’t remember the phone number but we found it in the yellow pages in our room. We had it delivered at 11:30 pm so it’s open at least that late.

I have not had bad pizza from them and they offer a gluton free pie if that is a concern.

This is kind of far away (about ten/fifteen minutes/seventeen miles). It's called Duffy's Cherry Cricket, or "The Cherry Cricket" On 2nd avenue. It has the best burgers I've ever had. Hands down. Here are the hours:
We're open everyday
11 am - 2 am
Happy hour
4:30 to 6pm and
10pm to midnight

And the location and phone number:

2641 East 2nd Avenue
Denver, Colorado 80206
In Cherry Creek North
303-322-7666

It's not within walking distance, but it's really really good!

There's a sandwich place down and across the intersection from the Marriott that me and my friends have gone to the last two years, good sandwiches.  It's in a little shopping area I think.  Can't remember the name of the place though, wish I did but the sandwiches are good.

Garcia's. And there used to be one by my house. But they closed! So we go there every year to have a bite to eat. LOVE their salsa, and I always get their enchilada's. God how tasty they are!

Sweet, thanks for the name good to know, plus that way there's a name for people who are curious about it, instead of my general directions and description, haha.

Does anyone know of any good bars near the hotel? ^^

I realize this one's late, but I noticed no one else mentioned it.

There are two 'pubs' nearby at Ulster & Belleview.

Darcy's Bistro & Pub
4955 S Ulster St, Denver, CO 80237
Irish-themed pub. Great shepard's pie & happy hour specials.

Baker Street Pub & Grill
8101 E Belleview Ave, Denver, CO 80237
English-themed pub. Part of a chain. Unfortunately, it's a Flash-based website, so I can't get a direct link. Just click on the Denver, CO location.

A little far afield, but Pat's Cheesesteaks makes an awesome mushroom cheesesteak and their fries are yummy.

Its up at Arapahoe and I-25.
