New series just found by my fiance, we only saw a few things on it and i was reading reviews, is this even out on DVD or are we once again looking at obscure central yet again....I just happen to like the story.

Its about a guy who is able to send demons to another world and is defending creatures called Youkai who want to live in peace in a village where they live side by side with humans peacefully. He has help from Hime a girl who is the mayor of the village, a fox spirit and a hanyu girl who are all there to make life in teh village as peaceful as possible.

Evolution has brought forth an astonishing number of living creatures....none get as much adoration as Felidae (Felidae pg 86)

Both the manga and the original TV series (12 episodes from 2008) have been released over here.   I haven't heard anything about the recent OVA, Yozakura Quartet ~Hoshi no Umi~.  That shipped/ships with volumes 9 and 10 of the japanese manga (8/2010 and 4/2011).  The japanese voice-cast for the anime his some pretty good folks in it.

The wikipedia page states that the U.S. releases are by Sentai Filmworks and Del Ray for the manga.  Happy hunting.

This ain't new!! Where you been Nagi, I shall smite thee :P  I find the DVD set every convention just sitting there. It's not that expensive, failry cheap - You can also find it cheap on Rightstuf.com - The story is meh. It's not the worst nor the best. Just one of the midlevel B grade run-throughs. More than anything I like the artwork.

So do I, I am considering doing a cosplay from it because its cheap and easy. Then again, Lee picked the anime out at random at a friends' house.
