Did you meet your special someone at a convention?

Yes sort of , I meet my husband a few times before ndk but I never talked to him. He was a friend of a friend, it was ndk 09 I was there with my ex that is until he ditched me. So I was aim lessly wonder around until I litarley ran into my husband. We just started dating with in an hour even though neither one of us asked each other out.
 And at ndk 10 we got married. Its nice having ndk with our  anversery.

I met my husband there six years ago now we have a kid we are having cosplay. lol. poor baby. anyway i've also met some of my best friends there

I didn't meet him there, but NDK ended up being a pretty special time for my boyfriend and I. More specifically the day before, but I'll associate the memories with NDK all the same ^^;

Friend wise yes, pretty much most of my friends are NDK folks. Relationship wise, no sir haven't happened yet at all. I applaud who have found someone at NDK.

Just go all out, talk to everyone you can. Compliment people on their costumes, and stuff like that. We are all wierd in an awesome way, so don't feel like you are ever being a creeper. I mean... From people who arent into anime/games, and the like, people say im a bit creepy and awkward... but unless you are a huuuuuuuuuuge creeper, you wont have a problem.

I go all out talking to people at cons, and even flirting... a lot... and hey, it's even part of the character I have started cosplaying as! Ezio is such a flirt... It's awesome. XD

Didn't MEET my fiancee there, but NDK 2010 was the first time we said "I love you" to each other. Twas very sweet.

kinda.... we met initially on our college's campus one day when all the clubs were recruiting new members. he told me about the anime club, so i attended, where i learned they were planning a trip to NDK in about a week's time. we didn't talk much during that week, but when i saw him at the convention, i snuck up and hugged him. that's when he asked me to go to the masquerave with him and the rest is history. there was some drama at the beginning, but in the end, i'm very happy to say we're still together, and this NDK will be our second engagement anniversary.

We met end of the day Saturday at NDK '04.  One of my friends and one of his friends were communicating online about foreign exchange students from Japan and the decided we should all meet up at the convention so that we could put faces to names.  Shortly after the con I found out that he was in the same Japanese class as me at Metro and we started talking and hanging out a little bit after that.  Our first REAL date was November 5th of that year, but I still like to count our anniversary as the con weekend each year.  Coming up on 7 years now!

Hey, that story sounds familiar...   You forgot to mention the part where I took off to see a show almost immediately after meeting you.  Also the part where we didn't realize we were in the same class for several weeks after that.  Then again neither of us is really socially adept.
