I know there are several of us who play the games and are eagerly awaiting the release of the Black and White Versions. Imagine my excitement when I learned that the Black and White Mall Tour, which is only coming to about seven cities across the nation, is coming to AURORA! (Directions to the Mall)

Things to look forward to:

Meet never-before-seen Pokémon while playing demos of the new Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version video games
Watch special screenings of the new Pokémon movie, Pokémon—Zoroark: Master of Illusions. This is your only chance to watch the movie in theaters, and best of all, it's free!
Enjoy a fun hunt around the mall collecting stamps to discover new Pokémon and win cool prizes!
Meet some of the new Pokémon characters as well as plenty of other photo opportunities...so remember to bring your camera!
Bring your Nintendo DS system and copy of Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, or SoulSilver Version game to get the Pokémon Celebi via special distribution!

Now, I'm not sure what the times are for the actual events, but I live very close to the mall, so I can definitely keep a close eye on it and keep us all posted. I will call the mall once the date gets closer to ask them for specifics and I will post them here. We are planning to be there on Saturday, February 26 at noon. I will totally be dressed as a Team Rocket Grunt. If anyone would like to join me and dress as a Pokemon character, please do! (Please note the mall dress code allows costumes as long as they do not obstruct the face! This means masks, face paint, and headdresses are not allowed) This event sounds like a really fun time and I think organizing a large group of fans would make it even better!

Schedule for the Day
10:00 AM - Get there early because "supplies are limited".
12:00 PM - Meet in the Food Court by the Chick-Fil-A/Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory for photo ops and socializing!
2:00 PM - Meet at the Century 16 (theater across the parking lot from the mall) for free showing of Pokémon—Zoroark: Master of Illusions at 2:30. (The movie is also screening at 10:00, 12:15, 4:45, and 7:00 in case you can't make this time!)
6:00 PM - Meet in Food Court for Pokemon Battles and Trades

Things to Bring

Costume/Cosplay (no masks or face-concealing costumes allowed!)
DS with Pokemon Games for Celebi Download
Pokewalker
Camera
Money for food and souvenirs

I don't see why not! I think it would be awesome if you guys had your costumes there, especially with the official Nintendo people there... you could end up with your picture in the newspaper or on the website or something!

I think my brain exploded when I saw this was happening. My best friend and I fully plan on going both days. I'm beyond excited! XD I'm gonna load up my pokewalkers and hope the lot of you bring yours too!

i really wanted to go sat since if i go sunday i wont beable to stay long because of school but i wanted to go when everyone else goes o~o

You're one of my best friends toooooo! <3 I just know you don't play the games much and I wasn't sure you'd be up for going. You should come with us! It'll be much fun! We can get our picture with Snivy, because he's awesome.

I kinda want to cosplay, but I'm not entirely sure its "acceptable". I might if I get my B/W trainer finished by then.

I don't see why it wouldn't be... I wouldn't think they'd kick us out for wearing costumes

We could always bring a change of clothes if nothing else!

And I was planning on the meet-up being on Sunday. Maybe around noon, depending on what times it is. I will call the mall once it gets closer and ask them for more details as to the times they will be there and stuff. The mall would probably close around 7 on Sunday night anyway, so no one would be out too late on a school night!

wait i just noticed something theres two dates, 26 and 27th but then it has two locations
Town Center at Aurora Aurora, CO
Franklin Mills Philadelphia, PA

is the mall tour only going to be here in colorado for sat? (its really confusing since it doesnt have a date next to the other location it just says 26 and 27th then says the location in colorado then in Philadelphia)

It looks like they'll be here both days AND in Philly both days. Otherwise they would have specified which city got which date, I think.
They probably have two crews traveling around city to city.

Since Sixwing and I live about 7-8 hours away, we will just be there Saturday. We will both have our full suits, Lucario and Absol, and have a friend to be our handler, and she may wear her Dawn outfit.

Ifria is right, I think they have two different groups traveling so we'll have one here while the folks in PA are having one too

I have friends traveling from far away for Saturday, too, so...

I am officially changing this Meetup to SATURDAY!

I don't have official times yet - I will call the mall once it gets closer to ask them for sure and I will let you all know

In the meantime, plan on tentatively meeting at noon on Saturday, February 26th!

Scratching all my plans. I've gotta make it to this.

Some malls have silly rules about excessive face paint/head coverings (in terms of masks). Someone should check on that, just to be sure.
If it's clear though, I'll bring my suit. :,D What a lovely event to premier it at...

All of the ads say to "bring your cameras"! So I would assume taking photos will be okay

Here is a copy of the message I just sent to people on the Facebook event:

I called the mall offices to verify the dress code for the event. I was told that masks, face paint, headdresses, or anything that obstructs the view of the face is NOT allowed. I know this is a bummer, but we'll have to plan our cosplays accordingly.

She did tell me that any costumes we'd want to wear are allowed as long as they don't cover the face.

In other news, there is now a video up on the Pokemon website from other mall tours and it looks like a lot of fun! Check it out!

The movie will be showing (advertised for free!) at the Century 16 which is just across the parking lot from the mall. The movie times for Saturday are 10:00, 12:15, 2:30, 4:45, and 7:00.

The mall opens at 10 on Saturday and the Mall Tour will be going on all day during operating hours (10 AM - 9 PM). There is a notice that "supplies are limited to first come, first serve", so the earlier we arrive, the better, I think.

As a group, we can plan on meeting in the Food Court at noon by the Chick-Fil-A/Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory booth for photo ops and other meet-ups.

I'd also plan on attending the 2:30 movie, since I figure most of us would have finished our stamp collecting and game previewing by then.

We could plan on meeting back at the food court at 6:00 if anyone wants to do Pokemon battles or trades - so bring your DS!
