i never actually heard of those =O what do you do? for both i mean?

Yeah, it looks like you started coming the year that they stopped. For the counting contest we find animes with a ton of something and have everyone count that for prizes. For example one year they had us count black-hooded ninjas in 2x2=Shinobuden or last year we counted guild ships in an episode of last exile and glasses in an episode of UFO Ultra-maiden Valkyrie (you'd know which episode if you saw it). The totals usually wind up in the 300-500 range.

The Olympics were always just random anime themed games for contestants we draw at random from the crowd. Last year we partnered people up and had one with a blindfold trying to crush specifically colored cardboard buildings (ala godzilla) while the other was trying to steer them towards the right buildings and other teams are trying to get their own differently colored buildings at the same time. They're both hilarious and fun.

Though last year my travel shampoo exploded in the little baggy i had it in ._.

Welcome to Denver! That could happen simply going from one side of the metro area to the other.

Haha Oh geeze. No one's updated this in a bit but oh well.
Yearly con traditions...
I buy at least one Pikachu plush or toy of some sort.
I stalk you around and say hi at least once a con.
I talk to Cy for a minimum of 30 minutes.
I have a horrid sunday morning. (Hoping to break that.)
I cause panic for the medics, be it slicing my hand open, falling down stairs, or getting a bad nosebleed that someone over reacts to. (Deff trying to break that one.)
I sit with my bro and a few friends under the counters in the hall between registration and the dealers room.
I'm only fluent in English, Neanderthal, and Sarcasm. Don't be offended if I insult your mother.

My group and I have two traditions.  One that we are breaking this year by being in the hotel is that we would always get to the convention early on Friday but incredibly late on Saturday due to problems with our ride.  The second is that we always end up having to search for my friend's money because something happens to it every year.  That girl is lucky too, she's never lost it for more than an hours time and it's always the amount she had when she lost it.  Last year we found it under one of the tables just outside the starbucks.  We still aren't sure how it got there.   :D

Lets see, yearly traditions?  Me and my friends have a few.  We always order pizza on Saturday.  Corny "tradition" but we've done it basically every year that we started staying at the hotel for NDK.  Lets see, personally I always buy keychains(I collect them), so I always get at least one.  I also always get one wall scroll, and...oh yeah Art Play Mix...I think that's the artist at Artist Alley, I always get one piece of their art except for 2 years ago because they weren't there, so I bought two last year to make up for it.
My friend started going two years ago and he always buys ramen and pineapple gummies.  Yeah, probably it for traditions.

Hey, if you guys like it and it means a lot to you, then it's not corny.

Hey one question, does anyone have a tradition, yearly lose the car keys before going to con?  An old friend of mine used to have that happen, wonder if it still happens?

I've only been twice (and really I'm only counting one) but I think I've established some likely traditions.

1. Never get to the con as early as you think you will on Friday. This tradition is based on everyone you're carpooling with having catastrophes with their costumes, supplies, etc...

2. Spend way too much time aimlessly wandering the halls, looking at cool cosplays, posing, or trying to sit on The Thrones, rather than actually doing anything or going to panels. (I spend the vast majority of con-time doing this, I think...)

3. Always Buy Mochi.

4. Always have some serious issues with your makeup/prosthetics. >O (I hope this doesn't become a tradition but the past two years I had massive issues with liquid latex, face putty, etc.)

5. Go to your hotel room completely exhausted feeling like you want to just hit the bed and pass out; stay up three hours more waiting for the shower, watching FMA. (This is probably only gonna be a tradition for me, because I can't help but choose cosplays that are so makeup-intensive that I CANNOT DO MORNING SHOWERS.)

6. Always look for THAT ONE COSPLAY that you know full well you will NEVER SEE -- but if you stop looking for it in the halls, it'll turn out it was TOTALLY THERE and you just MISSED it.

And a tradition I have not yet taken part in but really want to:

7. Make Hotel Bacon and Hotel Oatmeal. (Oatmeal made in the coffee pot, bacon made by wrapping it fully in aluminum foil and ironing it till it's cooked.)

XDDD oh lord that last one sounds amazing. We've never done either one but we made ramen in the coffee pot it was amazing.
Last year I dressed as a twitard and I was covered in glitter like you would not believe so I ended up taking like 3 or 4 showers in one day. Waiting for showers sucks.
We never get there on time on friday. Never. Last year we were supposed to he there by 11 and we didn't even leave till 1 in the afternoon. Granted it was our drivers entire fault but still we ended up being so busy with prereg and hotel rooms that we missed the opening
ceremonies again.

Another tradition would have to be that my group always ends up getting separated in the dealers room so that we spend at least an hour looking for each other only to find that we were in the same area the entire time and were just too concerned to see the same cosplay we'd seen since Friday XD

Oooh, I've done hotel ramen! =D I could only eat it once I'd removed my prosthetics!

I really reeeaaally wanna find some mochi this year. I love the stuff. I've only gone one year, but the group I've gone with always buys spaghetti-o's for after the dances, and we also always buy some sort of mystery bag from the dealer's section.

ha ha ha okay a yearly tradition with my sisters is that we enter the cosplay contest and lose ha ha but we never give up hope and then there is the lock yourself in the room tradition, where someone gets locked in the hotel room and cant seem to get the door open, which is hilarious because i have to take a picture of the locked door which promts a lot of why are you taking a picture of the door questions :D
watch out i'm a jellyfish

Let's see, Taffy and I have alot of traditions most of them are on the way to NDK and at NDK. Let's see the first is we have a cd or playlist that is filled with music that is our "NDK Mix" It's filled with random songs that were either on the best AMVS, Cospaly skits or songs that are just straight awesome!

Here is a small list of songs that have found their way perementaly on our NDK Playlist.
1. Boot to the Head by The Frantics
2.Smut by Tom Lehrer
3. A couple of songs from Takarazuka Opera "Elisabeth"
4. Centerfold by J. Geils Band
5.They're Gonna Take Me Away by Nuerotic Fish
6.Manga Manga Maniac by Peeping Tom
6. Suiokoden 3 Theme Song
7.Xenosaga 2 Songs
Edit: I thought of more! XD
8.Ding Ding Dong by Gunther
9.Cartoon Heros by Aqua
10.Numa Numa
11. TShakkazombie Siroi Yami No Naka (Kimidori Break Version) (Some of you might remember as Tainted Donuts)
12.Fly Me to The Moon by Utada Hikaru

There are a whole bunch but those are what I can think of at the moment. The other traditions that we do every year is that we bring our own food and microwave to the hotel room so that we have good nutrious food and that we can survive the weekend. Also every year without fail I am in the cosplay comp and do at least one panel. And than every day at NDK we make sure to put at least an hour to just realx or nap during the day so that we don't over run ourselves.

Oh! I almost forgot! Every year we drive down on Thursday since the 6 hour drive would be too much on Friday, so we drive down on Thursday and than in the evening we walk down to the Sushi Bar, Barra's, that is down the street from the convention center. Also Every Tursday,Friday and Monday during the time we are there we go to the little Bakery that is across from Wendy's. The Bakery and Barra's have good food but because the convention center is in the Business District they are only open on Weekdays.

But Anyways! That is all of my traditions that I can think of at the moment. :3
