Any yearly Traditions?
« on: January 12, 2011, 09:33:50 pm »
I suddenly became curious since I know me and my besty made up a tradition since our first year to buy a pack of mochi and a cell charm. does anyone else have a tradition they follow either it be by yourself with others?

I guess a personal tradition is my yearly goal in taking more pics than the year before lol

Is it tradtion to just buy something every year?! Then that's me ^^  Other than that I suppose we started bringing DBX Budokai 3 for kicks :o

And I like that photo tradition I tried that myself, though last year I took absolutely none!!

i failed at taking a lot of pics last year too no worries haha
anything could be a tradition really, mainly just something you do everywhere and/or something that you can't make the year without doing lil idk... driving by a statue and waving at it every year it could be something as silly as that xDD

On of our unofficial/official traditions is the day 0 apples to apples game.  We sometimes get very odd players(one year a bunch of army recruits that were in the hotel for the night), but it's always fun!

Always go as a Steampunk for at least one day, do epic dance next to the elevators, Caramelldansen, Hillshire Farms (which I started! Sorry, I'm proud of that. XD), and buy at least one new Gundam every year.

Funny thing is, I know basically nothing about Gundam; never watched the series, as much as I think I would enjoy it. I just collect the figures 'cuz Gundam are badass.

*sits and thinks*
I guess one for me would be having Miso soup in the morning, before making our way to the hotel. (We usually order chinese the night before.)

Another is me and my sister sit out in the hallways Sat morning, and just chat.  In our pjs and everything XD if yur on our floor, and get to the elevators early~ there is a good chance you will see us haha

And although I didnt manage to last year, I try to buy a plushie =O  Justs something to remember that year by -nods-

Under the stairs near the tower elevators. I meant to buy a lanyard last year but I forgot.

I think my tradition will be to volunteer at least 4-8 hours every year.

My yearly NDK tradition is to hand out some type of energy drink to any cosplayers that I think look amazing. Usually when I'm wearing my HUNK gear and I can lug it all in a weapons case. I handed out Ramune last year; that seemed to go over well. So I'll do it again this year.

My yearly tradition is the day before the convention, I have what I call Con Nachos, I used to go to the Lift on Thursday night, now I go across the street and my friends and I split a big plate of Nachos and say, "Hope this Convention is a good one!" Anyone want to join me this year?

Yes; Ramune is godly. I forgot that tradition too; Ramune and pocky. Despite the signs saying one cannot survive on thema lone, I do it for that weekend. ;)

...Well, that and Wendy's.

I haven't had Garcia's since I was a kid and my family used to go to church down the street. Maybe I'll have to join you guys.
