weapon policy

I see that the weapon policy says no steel or metal blades. Does this go for key blades as well? I have an authentic key blade but, it is metal. :S

The ban is on all sharpened metal, regardless of the particular shape.

Well it's not sharpened, just made of metal.

Keyblades, as far as I understand the rules, should be fine since almost all of them are rounded edges. But as Greg has stated if there are any sharp pointy bits made of metal (of any type) then the answer is no.
The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it.

Alright. If I take it to the con op to have it peace-bonded and it's rejected, does it have to go home, or can I keep it in my room?

If a prop isn't cleared for peace bonding, then it can stay in your room. It just isn't allowed on the con floor.

Please be sure to bring the Keyblade by operations where we will evaluate the weapon and let you know if it is permissable to have on the convention floor.  As Greg explained, if we do not approve the weapon for the Con Floor, it may be kept in your room or vehicle.

Thank you.

I was planning on doing that, in which case, may I get my badge before I get it peacebonded, or should that be the first thing I do?

No BB guns.  Even without the clip, in nearly all cases these guns look like authentic firearms.  If you do not agree, I suggest you PM myself or OpsChiefJer with a picture, and we can go from there.

As Kaeru Kami stated, BB Guns are not allowed as cotume props at NDK.  For clarification on what is and is not permissable, please see the following thread:

WafflezelffaW and roxaslover123,

If you're genuinely concerned that my staff or myself will veto the keyblade, here's a suggestion: Take some photos, post or link to them, and I will let you know if there's anything you really should be concerned about.

I totally understand if you don't want to have to lug the thing all the way to the Kan, having it be a perfect complement to your costume, or having worked your butt off to make it look awesome, only to be told, "Sorry, that's not allowed," and have all your hard work be for nothing.

Thanks.

Nice looking Kingdom Keys!  As long as you don't go swinging them around, they're fine as is.
