Introduction to Visual Kei--first year!
« on: August 08, 2010, 12:46:17 pm »
Hey guys!  Due to the question of whether there would be a Vkei panel this year, just about it in general, I put one together!
It'll be an hour long and cover a few things--
Where Vkei originated from and when
Where it is today
How it has influenced cultures
Trends and fashion styles in Vkei
And then a quick volunteer makeup and hair styling in the style of Vkei at the end!

It'll be a little more indepth than just that list but that's the basic covering of the panel.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm totally going! As far as suggestions go... I have no idea.
If you don't know what to make your signature, make this your signature. People might get mad when they read it though. I mean, all you're really doing is blathering on about nothing and taking up time that they could be using doing something productive like posting.

Hey~

I think your idea is great, but before you put more work into it than necessary, I just wanted to give you a heads up.
This year, me and my group have approved for a Jrock panel as well as V-kei make up panel.

Just wanted to let you know, so you can tweak your program so there isn't a repeat of material! :)

Thank you for the heads up, that's why I've only put a small ten minute or so instruction on makeup xD
I've been approved so I'm thinking it's all going to go well--mine covers more history than anything (Gah, that sounds boring xD ) so I think we'll be complimenting each other's panels more than anything.

Thanks!

Oh okay! I understand your panel is going to be a little more informational!  hopefully yours will be before ours, so people can brush up on some jrock knowledge and then come test it out in our jrock game!  Maybe the 'instruction' could focus on different types on things are presented in v kei make up - like the eye brow shapes, lip shaping and such! I dunno!  But I agree with you.

I hope you didn't think I was telling you to change your panel! Just wanted to let you know we're doing kind of the same thing. :)

Oh, I know you weren't trying to do that!  Haha, I agree that we don't want a repeat of material.  And yes, since I knew there was going to be some form of visual kei makeup this year as well, I'm mostly focusing my panel's makeup on the eyebrows, the lips, the little details, and then a big portion on hair.  I'm covering a little bit of your basic eyes too, but that's just because my volunteer would look weird if I didn't...haha~
