Yeesh. This thread makes me feel old.

At least I have Katie, MagRowan and Bamani in the same age bracket.

Edit: Looks like Scarlet is part of the group too. :D

I loved Voltron and ThunderCats too

Heh, it's a pretty long list

- Superfriends, the original all the way to the Super Powers Team
- Batman, the Filmation 1977 series
- The Super 7
- Space Stars :Space Ghost, Herculoids and more
- Droids
- Spiderwoman
- Blackstar
- Tarzan, Lord of the Jungle
- The Lone Ranger
- The Adventures of Zorro
- Superman, the 1980s series
- Dungeons & Dragons
- Ulysses 31
- Visionaries
- GI Joe
- Transformers
- Spiderman & His Amazing Friends
- The Incredible Hulk
- Kidd Video
- Jem & the Holograms
- MASK
- Thundercats
- The Bugs Bunny/Roadrunner Show

Then there were the movies:

- Secret of NIMH
- Rock & Rule
- Warriors of the Wind

Added:
Godzilla
Johnny Quest (note: You're freakin' kidding me. No intros with the original score? lame)
Kid's Super Power Hour with Shazam!
Galaxy High
Real Ghostbusters
Thundarr the Barbarian
Flash Gordon
Pole Position

Wow, that list keeps getting longer and longer. Looking this stuff up on Youtube leads to more and more shows. Then there are the shows that were on that I refused to watch, like Gilligan's Planet

Of course, we could go with the live-action stuff I watched on Saturday mornings, too

Secrets of Isis
Shazam!
Ark II
Jason of Star Command
Space Academy
Electrawoman & Dynagirl
Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future

I'm surprised no one's mentioned Batman Beyond. I wasn't exactly growing up when it was on but I remember it being pretty cool. Also Animeniacs is still one of my favorites, and the batman I grew up on was really cool (early 90's?).

There's one more that I can remember from the after school days - it was definitely anime, not american cartoons.  There were 3 robots (I remember a red fat one and a pink girly one) and the villian was a half man half woman.  I have no idea what the premise was supposed to be or what the name of it was, but it was in the afternoon rotations.  Maybe taking the place of Thundercats?

When I got older there was definitely a lot of time spent on Cartoon Network.  Dexter's Laboratory and Power Puff Girls were my faves and Toonami is where I got the anime revival.

Another for Jem and the Holograms as well as Rainbow Bright. Tom and Jerry Kids too.

Way too many others to list after the family got cable, and most have already been listed multiple times.

No, Mighty Orbots (which I forgot to put on my list. How could I have forgotten MIGHTY ORBOTS!?!) was 5 robots (6 counting the little Orbot who was essentially the key).

Mighty Orbots Opening w/ extra footage

The closest I can think of was Tranzor Z (aka Mazinger Z). The villian was 1/2 & 1/2 and there was the pink female robot, but I don't remember a fat red one.

And a couple more for the list

- Galaxy High
- The Kids Super Power Hour with Shazam!

I might be the only one in my age bracket around here who completely missed out on Voltron. Otherwise I watched much the same as everyone else (Loony Toons, Muppet Babies, Batman: The Animated Series (1992), Garfield and Friends, Jetsons, Flintstones, Inspector Gadget, etc).

Tranzor Z!  The villian definitely matches - I just can't figure out where the fat red robot came from...

Thanks, Roger!

No, I didn't see Voltron either. Never aired in my area and I only remember commercials for the "Castle of Lions" video tape. Same thing with Starblazers and Robotech for the most part. I got lucky enough to see "Battle of the Planets", but it was on really early in the afternoon, so I'd only get to see it in the summer because of school. And by the time we got a VCR, it stopped airing.

OK, I did something really nerdy and put Youtube links to all the openings to my earlier list. There were definitely some that I looked at and went "I used to watch THAT!?"  :-[

If you don't know what to make your signature, make this your signature. People might get mad when they read it though. I mean, all you're really doing is blathering on about nothing and taking up time that they could be using doing something productive like posting.

Oh! Forgot an important one, I used to watch Mighty Max a lot.

Forgot about Real Ghostbusters and Inspector Gadget, those were also on my watch list.

Some more I remember are Back to the Future the Animated Series, Care Bares (with or without the cousins), Beetlejuice, and Danger Mouse.  :D  We used to call my brother Danger Mouse. :p

I only saw Inspector Gadget if I woke up early enough, that hardly ever happened.  I remember catching bits and pieces of Robotech too, I just never watched much of it because I had no idea what was going on... Later I learned that it was a mashup of more than one Macross series, so that explains alot!

Now I'm feeling nostalgic and plan to look up 80's cartoon shows when I get home - I know I have to have watched more than I can remember right now!

Anyone remember Alf, the animated series? I barely do--pretty awful IIRC. Then there was Heathcliff which seemed OK when I was a kid.
