We use a karaoke DJ suite. I'm still learning how to use the advance features myself, but it's generally worked quite well. If you bring your song (and we don't have it in our library), we'll do our best to make it work.

If it still doesn't work, do I need to skip my turn, or can I do a "duet"?

Worst Case Scenario, we tweak the volumes so you can sing over the original MP3.
