Another Dungeons And Dragons Group

First off my name is Alex. I have started playing DnD with nogard from here. Good group learned a lot, and have since then joined another DnD group which is rather far along increasing my experience in the game. I am planning on starting another one, this time with myself as Dungeon Master.

On to the details-

Won't be until sometime in August, so plenty of time to plan.
Looking to make it a group effort as far as details(time, day, etc) to play.
Place would be my own.
It would be a 3.5 Edition game.
All classes/races available for 3.5 allowed.

If anyone has any questions feel free to ask. Or if anyone has advice I'd be happy to hear. Thanks for reading and looking forward to the responses!

i would be interested in joining the group, i have pretty much just started playing and am reading the rule book, and have figured out my race, i would like to be a part of a group to and actually be able to play to see if i wish to continue to pursue this

Only thing with that is I don't want to start a campaign with characters possibly dropping if that makes sense. lol

If you're willing to deal with a remote player, I would be happy to join in. Doesn't even need to have picture if you lack a web cam. Trust that I would still be making waving motions or other random gestures from the other end of the line with or without picture. If not, I'd still be happy to help. I know a few good traps...

All classes/races available for 3.5 allowed, really, all of them?!? So many ideas come from this, I love it.

Also, are you planning at starting 1st level, or higher?

Time wise, I could do every other Sunday, Wednesday or Friday nights, and might be able to swing Tuesday nights.

i completely understand that, people keep telling me that. it is why i havnt got a chance to start playing yet lol

I didn't think about the starting level, I'll be thinking about that, if anything it'll either start at 1, 5, or level 10. And star, are all those days every other days? If not let me know a day you have to wear you can be their weekly.  P.S this is schmoopy from our monday group if that isnt obvious lol

Sorry about that. Sunday is the only every other, the rest can be every week. Wednesdays though, you will have to deal with me costuming as well, but I can game at the same time

I think I might start you guys at level 1 currently. And do an idea Nogard would enjoy and toss you all into a tower dungeon to quickly level your chars and get a fell for DMing/The party's competence.

I'm thinking of doing starting level 8th. And Everyone will start with 2 magic weapons supporting there characters, be it weapons, armor, or just a magic item. First couple of adventures will be straight forward kill quests. "Go find the ruler of that tower and bring back proof of their demise!" type of thing.

And just to confirm, any race, any class?

Also, anything special for character creation, ie stat rolls, extra feats, ect?

As long as it's 3.5 and it won't be much of a hassle for a first time DM ;] lol And it'll just be basic rolling for the stats + the 2 from being 8th level. But other than that. Nothing special at the moment. It will be mostly a kick in the door style of play for awhile though.

I'll say 5k just because I will give you all quite a bit of stuff. 2 of those being magic items. But you will get all of the things you request practically. Also, weight won't be an issue. Someone in the party will have a bag of holding. Also, if possible knowing everyone who is interested what they are planning to plan would help me start working on some stuff so once it starts happening we can just jump in.

XP will be set at 30,000, again this puts you all at level 8 with 6000 xp til 9th level.

Not really interested in another gaming group but wanted to comment anyway.  I've been playing for 13 1/2 years. Started when I was 12 playing little 1st edittion AD&D encounters with my dad and have sense played every edittion that followed.  Currently running a 6 player 4th eddition game with friends.

Point being, I like seeing new players so excited about the game -nerd colors are showing- so if you have any questions on rules, or any problems you're running into as a DM or just stuck on story ideas (have been DMing for the last 6 years) feel free to send me a PM, I'd be happy to help you out.

Awesome. And yea, technically this will be my 3rd game in general. 1st time DMing. But I'm thinking of some good story stuff I hope the group enjoys. I just hope I can get more people to join in before the date.
