Itasha
« on: June 17, 2010, 08:51:24 pm »
You all saw this thread eventually poping up....
Okay, so for those of you that don't know what Itasha is, it mean "Pain - Car"  And it means:
Now there is obviously now way that a 15 year old can own a car just yet, but there is the possibility that she wants an anime transpoter of some sort... .  What can she own?  A bike.. a bicycle... an itacharinko

However, She may not know where to get the spuff to do this... Does any one know where I could get teh bike rim thingies?

I figured that out when i found the bike pic, I was just using Itasha for the general thing that most people that know of this stuff would understand. Thank you though :3

For a bike I'd guess that you would go to a bike shop and get a solid rim, then take that to a sign printer and have them make a vinyl for the rim

Simple as that. Dunno how much that would cost, but I'm guessing not cheap. Solid rims are special race only type stuff and super detailed vinyl is pretty spendy. I would guess it's outside a 15 year old's normal budget

Sorry if that bursts your bubble.

Edit: here's some links. I think I just shattered your bubble and lit it on fire.
Solid wheels
Another brand
Couldn't find a site with pricing for the vinyl decal.

While it wouldn't be as huge or noticeable, you could always add decal stickers to the frame of the bike

Very nice!  Saw a lot of that at Moehaku earlier this year.  Where were the photos taken at?  Japan, probably?
