And there likely won't be more for a couple weeks at least because I'm gettin' married next week, or some such nonsense.
Congratulations! My wife and I are looking at our 10th anniversary this winter

The greatest advice I can give you is that love is NOT an emotion, it's a choice that you have to make daily.

Enough of my hijacking.

Eek! She's so cute!! ^__^

You're going to make her and Iroh key chains so we can buy them at the con, yes?
ShrinkyDink keychains of these would be awesome.
Planned cosplays for 2012:
Big Boss (Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater), Black Waltz 3 (Final Fantasy IX), Nappa (Dragonball Z), The Stig's Spartan cousin (Halo/Top Gear mashup)

Katie: Thanks!
Yeah, she and Iroh will be appearing at the con, along with a few new Avatar drawings. I haven't decided if I should do stickers or keychains of them yet though. I doubt I'll be thinking too much about the con until the wedding is over. >>;

Ronin: Aw, that's super sweet! Congratulations! :D
And thanks. xD Sage advice. Or as they say, "Love isn't a feeling--it's an ability." (Dan in Real Life, woot)
I'm very excited for the new adventures and challenges that married life will bring.  :D

I've never actually used Shrinkydink material before. My current keychain-making process might be more time consuming in fact, but I like how they come out. I'm not sure which way is better, or where I'd even purchase Shrinkydink stuff... This is how my keychains looked last year.

It's a very labor-intensive process to make them, but I think it makes for pretty good quality--I've been using the same Zuko keychain for over a year now. If I could still get good quality with Shrinkydinks and cut down on the cost of time, I'd be willing to give it a go, but I haven't really had a chance to experiment with it.

Here's the link for Shrinkydink supplies and how-to http://shrinkydinks.com/

And here's a link to a thread on another forum of the work my friend Baillie and her sister do with shrinkydinks http://pixelgasm-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=22&st=0&sk=t&sd=a
Check out the Legend of Zelda pieces on page 3

It looks like the Shrinkydink site has sheets that will work with inkjet printers. That might make life easier with the beautiful coloring that you do in Photoshop

The Enigma-

You did the Avatar keychains last year?  I loved those, bought a whole set for myself and the fav character of two of my friends, they rock!  Are you going to have new keychains this year?  New Avatar keychains would be great, like Suki and Iroh, he's my fav character.  Well hey either way your keychains rock

XD Definitely. I have an Appa in the making, and a Momo and a few others as well. :)
Mostly, I just love Avatar. :B

Ronin: Thanks!! I might give that a try and see how it works. :)

Alitain: Yep, I did them. I'm glad you like them! Thanks for your support! :D
I will have new Avatar keychains. I do have a Suki in the making, so with any luck, she'll be there to join the ranks. I just hope I have time to make all the things I want to, because I'm also thinking about doing some other series keychains, heh. >>;

Awesome. :D I'll be in the same place as last year, just outside the AA. I'll look forward to seeing you. :)

Well life has just been all kinds of busy lately, and now I'm on that final push to do art for the con. Here's a little breather I took because it was fun. I don't know much about animation at all, and just have been toying with it since it's a feature in Photoshop CS3. All the same, if anyone has any ideas on how I can improve, I'd sure look into that.

Ponyo!

Yep, I really can't stop doing the chibis. >>

This one was a commission for a girl who sells crafts at another convention and wanted a badge for her table, Gothic Panda Studios. The outfit is completely her design, and as I'm kind of a sucker for lolitas, this was a joy to paint.

And as a belated Halloween bonus, here is a commission for someone's Plague Doctor. Monsterish characters are so fun, and plague doctors are so amazing looking as it is, so once again--I had a blast making this. There's something hilarious about taking a really creepy character and cheebifying him. :D

Thanks guys! :D

On to the next round... here's my favorite commission I've done lately. I love characters who are just a bit quirky in their design:

And here's my Christmas card this year. It's kind of terrible because I didn't have time to work on it at all up until Christmas Eve (which I spent at work, so I used the scanner at work which is awful). So basically, it's not my finest hour here, but I wanted to share it anyway in the spirit of the Christmas season, and hope that all you awesome NDK people had a lovely Christmas. :)
