Mistakenly double-registered
« on: April 20, 2010, 11:53:10 pm »
Hi all. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Last year, my boss pre-registered me for NDK '10. I either forgot she did this, or she forgot to tell me, but now I'm apparently registered twice. I really want to refund my boss, since she does so much for me. Does anyone know how I can straighten this out? I've tried contacting the NDK heads, but I haven't heard anything yet and I'm a little worried.

Again, thank you for your time. I really appreciate it.

Was this using our online pre-registration or paper pre-registration? We don't offer refunds for paper registrations, and we can only offer refunds on online pre-registrations if they were made in the last 90 days (the system won't let us refund anything before that). In that event, we send a chargeback to the payment method used; we won't mail out a check. If it's been longer than 90 days, then all we can do is transfer the badge to another person.

To resolve the issue, please go to this page:

http://ndkdenver.org/contact

Choose either "Registration" option (depending on the method used). We'll need to hear from the person whose name was on the order, though. They're the only ones authorized to make any such requests. Be sure to include as much information as you can.

(Oh, and if you already sent this out in the last week or so, the staffer who handles online registration issues was on vacation for a week and is still catching up, which would explain why you hadn't gotten a response.)

Okay, I'll touch base with my boss and see what she did, and wait for an answer from the other staffer. Thank you very much.

I've responded to every incoming e-mail so I'm not quite sure who you attempted to contact. As GregHines has stated there are windows of limitation about refunds and which kind of registrations can have a refund. If your boss chooses to transfer a badge to someone else they should contact us through the contact form that GregHines linked to. If you'd like to transfer your badge to someone else please do the same.

This is actually 60 Days sorry about any confusion this may cause.

The same thing happened to me -
"This letter is to confirm that the following individuals have
been confirmed in order #--- for NDK 2010.
NAME
NAME"
I think that it is for the NYE Ball and that there is just an error in the system.
This about this before you refund! You might only have one ticket for NDK 2010 and not two.

I have replied to the conformation email.

EDIT - response was that the NYE and NDK2010 badges email list were merged. REQUEST FOR STICKY WARNING ABOUT THIS?
