Our contract with the hotel limits NDK's commercial activity to specific areas around the hotel during the convention. So if you do not have an Artists Alley table, you are not permitted to sell any products at NDK. This includes exchanging money for products and delivering products for which money was exchanged in advance. There are no exceptions to this rule. Performing services for money is similarly prohibited.

You may use this forum to market and even sell your wares, but you must arrange to deliver them at a time and place other than at the hotel during NDK.

So outside the hotel at a restraunt would be okay, but just not on hotel property right?

We can't regulate what happens outside of hotel property.

But please don't use the forum to try to get around this. In other words, if you want to privately make such arrangements, we can't stop you. But please don't say on the forum that you'll deliver them off-site at NDK.

I'd like to add that even if its not at the hotel itself it'd be encouraging people to break the rules. If don't feel like shipping from home a PO Box is fairly cheap and easy to use, there are plenty of places you can check to get shipping prices. If you don't want to meet up alone to exchange stuff, plan a fun meet up before the con and get more people to go so you can have fun at the same time.

I was just asking for clarification purposes, not trying to encourage shady dealings. Sorry if it came off that way

Hi,

I know I'm too late to get a table as I've seen postings that are saying they're all taken. Can you tell me where to go to sign up in advance for another con or put my name down on a waiting list? Thanks!

You can sign up for Artists Alley 2011 in February 2011, it's to late to sign up for this year, if you do not sign up during registration time we can not add you to the waitlist. Sorry.

If we DO have an artist alley table can we take commissions through the marketplace to be picked up at the con?

For future reference (in case someone comes across this later), Amadis question was answered in this thread.

In short: delivering previous commisions for pick-up at NDK is a no, but taking commissions at your AA table is allowed.
