Author Topic: Should there be another freeze at NDK 2010? (Read 2631 times)

At NDK 2009 I ran a group freeze in the lobby Saturday morning. Even though the topic thread was viewed over 9,000 times and had twelve pages of responses, only a handful of people showed. The freezers present were able to recruit quite a few volunteers, so the freeze was a nice success.

I was wondering if anyone (whether they attended the first freeze or not) wants to participate this year in another Saturday morning freeze. Again, participants coordinate cell phone alarms to vibrate all at once, and all participants will "freeze" for two minutes.

What do you think? I was pleased with the 2009 results.

Deffinatley do it again, just be CLEAR on where it is we are supposed to be meet at, Last year we were supposed to meet at the hallway behind the star bucks, but you all ended up some where else and we weren't notified on it, and we had checked the forums before we went into the kan.... Just one thing that i was kind of annoyed with and still kind of am, but if we fix that, deffinatly do it the same way.

I was clear about where were supposed to meet. I NEVER said we were supposed to meet behind the Starbucks. It doesn't matter if someone else suggested it; I was the one who lead it.

People kinda ruined it by walking around telling everyone to freeze. The point is to keep a good amount of people out of the loop.

ya. At con recruiting really isnt a good idea.... it takes away from the suspense.

The reason we recruited people there was because we got a lot of no-shows.
