1st ever magazines 2010

Yes, that's right!! Me and my trusted crew will be publishing a magazine about the NDK and probably we’ll end up doing it every year. We operate independently and completely unaffiliated with NDK. We already have some thoughts in mind on what to put inside the magazine. But we want some more ideas from you the reader. Do you have something on your mind that will help us to make it better?  We need your honest (but not too brutal) feedback.  Please, please take a minute to help us by answering the following questions.

At this moment, I have 8 people who will do the magazine.  The thing that I love about the entire crew is their “otaku” - that’s also my passion.  But we still need more people who are willing to participate.  We intend to publish yearly and will be busy from about 1 month before to 1 month after the convention.

If you wish to participate, please send me a personal message here and let me know what you can contribute i.e. articles, editing, interviewing, photography, art, etc.

To be honest with all of you, this is only the “tip of the iceberg.”  If you can impress me about the things  that you can do, maybe you can earn some money on my next project. (*hint* every month issue) Right now, I cannot tell you exactly what I will be doing on my next project.  Only my trusted friends know about that.

What particular articles would you like to see in the magazine?
hmmm um well how about new anime releases? interviews with just regular con goers would be a neat idea (i think). maybe updates and new things with NDK and possibly having a section about the artist alley and all the wonderful artists in it ^^

i wouldn't mind if you wanted me in it ^^

ya, one for each NDK is a good idea ^^

Any thoughts about the project?
i think it would be a nice way to get to know the convention better and such.

Have to agree with Lightane on having Like new releases of Anime/Mangas and reviews. Interviews with con goers, Staff and Guest will be nice. Also of polls of Best games, anime, manga of the past year Sept-Sept. Contest Winners too....

Hell ya you got to have Purple-sama in your mag...

Of course or even a semi-annual one too...

What particular articles would you like to see in the magazine?
I'd like to see the history of the con, commentary from panel guests and regular guests and why they all attend, and maybe some words from the hotel staff about their part in the preparations.

Would you like to see yourself in the magazines?
Yes, but I'm just a guest, and not very photogenic. XD

Yes. I'm very big into magazining, and making it would be cool, but having a pic in would be just as great ^^

Yes, it sounds very good. Or you could make it a cosplay magazine on colorado cosplay events and such ^^

By making it a yearly issue they mean do you want them to do it every year or stop after one, stuff like that. Not if they should do it more than once a year lol

That would be awesome to see myself in the mag, show something to my folks to see my cosplays at the con. ^_^

If it coincides with the NDK's book to make it more noticable and readable (not that it ain't) than I 2nd it being a yearly one...or have a pre con issue before the con to excite us before the event itself.

Yes, I would love these things, to be honest, I don't mind doing an interview and I could wrangle my co-panelists, also could you include Vampires Den, we need some sort of note that we are there. I am doing three panels this year and I like reviews because if I don't know how well we do, then however are we going to improve! Please let this be a good magazine!

What particular articles would you like to see in the magazine?
- Interviews with attendees and guest (if you can).
- Saying who won the costume, cosplay and amv contest. (Possible interviews with them).
- Maybe have a section with personal favorites. (favorite cosplay, favorite panel, etc).
- I also think it would be fun to have games in the magazine with the answers in the back. (What/who was cosplayed as most?, some kind of anime/cosplay related crossword, etc).

- Of course, that would be cool.

I would also like to help out with this - I could help take down some interviews with some random guests, And get the con goers POV, I can help out with the Website making, And I will Be getting a camera in about a month, so I can also help out with Photography too.  I am pretty good with editing and stuff too.  However, The main way that I would be helping out with this is prolly going to be in Cyberland and on the phone and stuff too. 

Other then that I would absolutely love to help out with this.  I would mainly be doing this as a volunteer, but you know, money doesnt hurt either X3
