Cosplay Costume Creation Group
« on: January 10, 2010, 08:56:08 pm »
I'm not sure if anyone else is in my boat, but here goes. I would like to cosplay and I have the fabric and patterns and most of what I need. The problem for me is setting aside time to work on it as I am a horrible time manager.

So here's my thought. I was wondering if anyone would be interesting in doing a quilting bee style group for those people who would like to make their own cosplay but would like a little bit of socialization along with it and/or someone to keep you accountable for a time schedule. It could also be a place where even if you aren't sure what you want to do yet, or if you know what you want to do but are not sure how to go about it as a group we could come up with suggestions for each other.

I work a shift job and my hours are never the same week to week. So the dates and times would have to be worked out as we went. Where is also something that can be changed and worked out as needed.

Anyone interested?

I'm in Parker. About 20 minutes or so south of Denver.

Other members are discussing the possibility of putting together cosplay workshops on varying topics including some sewing topics.  You're more than welcome to contribute/participate in these as well as starting your 'cosplay bee'.  :)

The discussion for workshops is here: http://ndkdenver.org/forum/index.php/topic,4165.0.html

Good luck with your group.  :)

No worries, I was just suggesting that thread so that when you get a group together, and the workshops are finalized, you guys might have additional people to meet up with.  :)
