Been bouncing this idea around for a while just as something fun to do. When I found out the Botanic Gardens was having a free day, I figure why not.

January 18th, the Denver Botanic Gardens is doing a free day. I plan on being there all day to enjoy the scenery and to offer photo shoots *all day*
So come anytime, find me (I'll post what I'll be wearing so people can find me later), have fun getting your photo taken (a few dozen times), and be able to find them that night when I post a link here.

Time: I'm going to be there around 9 am so I can walk the grounds and find a few good places to take photos. If people want to start gathering around 10am, that should give me time to look around. Lunch will be around 12-ish. If you want to bring goodies for people, feel free. If you want to skip out on lunch, that's cool. I just need a bit of water and I can keep shooting during that time. I figure a die down around 2pm or so.
Location: Looking at the gardens, I'm thinking June's Plant Asia would be a great place to meet up.
How this works: After two or so people get together, I'll grab someone and step away for about 15 minutes or so (I want someone to stay at the meet-up place just so people don't get confused while I'm shooting people). After people have had solo shoots, it'll do group shots and omake (humorous) shots for the rest of the time.
How to find me: If you want my number, just PM me and I'll give it to you so you can call me. (Don't text, I won't know who you are. Just call, I'll have it tucked in my ear all day). Other than that, to make it easy, I'll wear a pair of Rabbit ears. And yes, I do respond to Rabbit so if you start randomly calling out, you will get a response.

If this goes well, I might post more free days (I have a list of locations and dates) and set a few more up as Colorado looks less..brown.

Ah, I might come to this. =D Sounds pretty awesome, and I love the botanic gardens. You'll probably have Ritsuka(At a loss for ears, still) wander on in there. 8D

You might wanna check on the photography rules for the free day though, I thought they usually charged money for people to bring in photography equipment and such.

Really? They never charged my dad when he brought in his camera(which was a big bulking thing around his neck). Do you mean, say, professional equipment?

Only if this was commercial (which it's not), Publicity (nope on this), or if I was bringing in a lot of equipment (My camera bag and that's all and that's purse sized)

Since this is for fun, it's totally free.
It's the other reason why I'm not setting a time. so people can come and go when they're free and able to. so they can't say it's a huge cast of people.
I just rechecked to make sure. We're in the clear.

And it's on a weekday because it's Martin Luther King day

I'm interested again~! I'll see if any of my cosplay friends would be interested in attending. Maybe I'll actually take pictures for once too.

I would do Kurama or Rin for this, more then likely Kurama would be better for the gardens, I'm in if it's free! I just have to make sure I don't work that day ^^

Don't worry about taking a camera. My hope is kinda to be the only one (yeah, I want the camera attention, haha) and just post them all up online so people won't have to do the "I know they took photos of me, but where are they?" thing. Sometimes it's easier with just one camera person.

I usually take pictures of me and my friends being stupid, so I always have my camera though..

I think I need to explain it a bit better.
The whole idea for the day is to have one photographer. Naturally, people will be taking their own for the random shots for their Omake roll, which is all cool. It's just the idea of one main roll that everyone can see and enjoy. I plan on grabbing a person (or group) and disappearing for a bit of time so they'll have alone time with the camera and (hopefully) get some darn good photos.
I don't really want the people that have cameras to think "Dang it, I'm behind the film and I wanted to be infront."
I'm not going to be wearing a costume so that I can be the face behind the camera all day. I have no problem with not being seen (there are times I prefer that) in photos. I always get my own time to enjoy.
Perhaps it would be better if I schedule times for people to meet up with me ofortheir photos and the rest of the day people can do what they want and such?

You can still come, just dressed up. Like I said, face infront of the camera, not behind it. Rarity for us photographers, neh?
