The Reaper's Game. A TWEWY Fan Event. (moved from the events subforum, per my PM reply from Greg~)
Okay, so I'm a bit ahead of myself... but I wanted to make sure there'd be enough notification for people to plan if they want to join this and cosplay for it :3
Gear
DS with TWEWY game (that can connect in order to play Tin Pin)
Cell phone with texting (at least 1 per team)
Camera (Cell phone cameras are OK)

Sign up will open on Friday morning at a time to be declared, and closes when 20 teams successfully complete the preliminary task and recieve their player pins and team numbers. TWEWY costumes are not required--but it would be fun if you could at least wear it on Sunday for the final event! The Game Master (me) will take team names and cell numbers for sending assignments--please note that these phone numbers will not be distributed and will not be used beyond the Game's boundaries, and we will provide a document for both game master and game players to sign that assures this. Team members will then await their next assignment...
After the initial assignment for sign-up, there will be three assignments on Friday, and two each on Saturday and Sunday (totalling seven for those of you keeping track). The game will end by closing ceremonies on Sunday.
The assignments will be run like the game, where you recieve a text on your phone with a specific task (most will be in a format you have to figure out, such as the assignments in the game) and a time limit to achieve it, I.E.: "Get a photo of the hidden leaf village symbol, and show the reaper in the cafe before 1:00pm or face erasure." There will be a grace period depending on day and time of the con, ranging from 10 to 20 minutes to account for crowds, pictures of cosplays, etc. During each assignment, when you approach the reaper, be sure to be wearing your pins so the reaper knows that you are playing the game (Since this is the RG reapers will not have wings, but will be dressed as one variety of reaper or character from the game). If you have completed the task successfully, you will recieve a specific pin which verifies that you have completed the task, and the reaper will send the game master the players' team number to verify their completion as well. If you do not succeed in the task, it can be repeated as many times as you want until the time limit. Once the time limit is up, any teams that have not completed their tasks will be 'erased' from the game, and will recieve a message notifying them of this.
If a team successfully makes it through all seven assignments, they will qualify for the Tin Pin tournament (either player can compete in this as the tin-pin player) that will decide the grand prize winner. Even if you don't win the tin-pin tournament, you will recieve a prize for getting through the rest of the game. After the tournament and the grand-prize event, I would like to try to do a photoshoot with all members of the game (even if they lose earlier in the weekend), if people are available.
Obviously this would be a weekend-long commitment, and we'll have to limit it to 20 teams due to the fact that we are supplying all prizes and supplies for this event ourselves.
I am taking volunteers for reapers as well (reapers need not fret! Just because they can't participate doesn't mean they get nothing! All reapers will get a deck of their 6 favorite pins. For this reason, reapers must be signed up pre-con since we'll have to make the pins. We will need seven reapers total. Reapers must also have a cell phone that is able to text and will have to keep it charged throughout their portion of the game. The reapers' slots will not be decided until friday morning before sign-up starts, in case there is an event one of you would like to attend, we will arrange your portion of the game around your desired events.
