My first memories were hearing about the planning and how it went for the first 4 years from several of my friends who have been part of the con since day one. Then when Bakudan asked me to come help him in the VGR for NDK Go it was the smallest snowball pushed down the hill :)

Now I'm working in programming and running my panels which are so overly attended it amazes me every year and I fight back a massive panic attack before going into the room.

when you say "NDK go" am i safe to assume you mean 5?

Well I'm not Bob but yes, the 5th NDK was labeled NDK Go.

Moving from Texas in 2000 and having no real friends until I showed up at NDK and meeting a bunch of people who became almost family! A slight change, because my mother just reminded me, buying my first anime, "Geobreeders" on DVD (been my favorite ever since). Cosplaying for the first time as Naru from Sailor Moon, my mother giving me a crash coarse in learning to use a sewing machine.

I just remembered something, something that I was supposed to write in this before, my first time trying pocky, thank you girl who dresses up as evil Sailor Moon!

My first major NDK memory was standing in line to get into the Dealers' Room with my friends I came with, and we were dressed in some not so wonderful Naruto cosplays. The girls in front of us looked about our age and had on cute costumes, and I said, "Oh! Nice costumes! What series are you from?" And they just turned around and gave us a really mean look and said thanks. Then there was an awkward silence.

They probably told me what series, but I don't remember. My first NDK was certainly not a very grand time. It's a wonder I came back, but I'm glad I did, haha. I have lots more fun now.

The event that I remember most was getting my rib broken.
Some really large person glonped me. I was really tiny and weak at the time.

My first memory of NDK was.of two giant fursuits of Yuki and Kyo.
Turns out that I am now friends with those cosplayers.

My first  NDK was back in '07 and I went with some friends and getting laughed at by my friends for buying catears, tails, and Collars... That was when My cat Persona started to really come to the surface and ever sense I been doing random Catboy

Oooh goodness! I remember my first NDK so well.. I was 12, and scared out of my mind. My friends had asked me if I wanted to go to an anime convention, and I kind of just shrugged. They ended up taking me, and I was completely overwhelmed.
I used to have an extreme fear of people, and I think NDK had the most people I've ever seen in my life. I was completely paranoid until I figured out, "Hey, these people are interested in the same things as I am.. this is pretty cool!"
Finally! A little redemption from being called a geek or a nerd all my life and being picked on constantly. :] I love NDK now, I meet so many new friends there, and it's always fun not to be a freak for once, but accepted.

well since this year was my first NDK the memories are still quite fresh ^^

my first NDK memory is while trying to find the hotel i saw a Neku from TWEWY walking down the street and i told my mom "Follow that Neku!" while doing so almost wrecking the car......

my first in-con NDK experience was of my sister and i carrying loads of luggage while my mom went to find a parking lot. we had two costumes on hangers, a foam head with a wig on it, a keyblade, and three sets of luggage D: and in our exhaustion from carrying so much we went up the wrong elevator >-> you see we were in the elevator and on the first floor the rooms were numbered 1000+ and since our room was in the 500's we were vastly confused..... but once we got back down to the main floor we then shuffled our way through the vast crowd and proceded to ask a NDK Staff member which elevator to go up. and soon we found our room and plopped on the beds before throwing on our costumes.

it was plenty of fun xD

my first memory of NDK was seeing a guy dressed up as sailor Jupiter in 07 i felt very awkward for the rest of the day ><
as well as running into someone who was cosplaying as dark sora which was freaking amazing
and the huge conga line :)

My first con ever, was kicked off by the greatest memory ever! I walked in and got my first glomp ever from my most favorite character ever! *laughs* I got to hug a Gojyo (from genzomaden saiyuki) cosplayer! I was glowing for the rest of the day. ^.^

In my friends minivan, cramped in the back seat against the window. Then noticing cosplayers at resteraunts and screaming.
"Yes! Follow the fellow freaks!" to here mom because she had no clue where she was going...

In con experience? A person running around in a box. Nuff said

Yeah I ask a hug from Imp Midna. and then just bout to leave a Midna cosplayer asked if I could join the group of zelda characters picture. I was happy for rest of the month. ^w^

...Hmm.... Took me a while to actually remember the very first memory I had from NDK ^^

Mine was our driver trying to look over at a map while driving saying "Where are we going?" And One of my friends Yelling in my ear "I found it! There's a person with pink hair and a staff! I think we should turn there!"

Other than that just wandering around being ecstatic with being able to see all the cosplayers^^ Totally didn't even know cosplay existed before then. Best discovery ever<3

I remember waiting for an incredibly busy Gordon to give me my volunteer sheet at NDK 5.  I've been staff since NDK 6 ('02) and it's been a long, crazy, fun-filled ride since...

also, i remember this guy at a colorado con....wasabi or NDK, i do not know. anyways, he was completely covered in this red stretchy material with his arms all around him. I swear if he got pushed over he'd be like a turtle....
   anyways, really gorey. looked like a beating heart or something. maybe from silent hill? i cant remember much, i was so dazed when i meet him.
