What was the first anime/manga you ever finished watching/reading?
« on: September 08, 2009, 08:58:19 pm »
When I say finished i mean watched all the way through. This is embarassing for me but the first anime i ever watched all the eps for was Ouran ( ;) ;) ;)) lmao. And the first Manga was Deathnote. I've liked anime since i was little but i would always miss an episode, or i'd have to skip a volume of manga cuz the store didn't have it.

Like I said in the other thread, Tenchi Muyo! for Anime. And I'm right there with you for the Manga, Death Note. I didn't get really into Manga until recently with Death Note. Quite possibly, one of my favorite reads in a while. I loves it.

Anime: gunslinger girl

Manga: Ruroni Kenshin

It's wierd. my friends tend to think that you'll always remember your first series fondly but i'm not nearly as much of a fan of gunslinger girl anymore. Maybe it's el Teatro.

Anime: Ronin Warriors followed shortly by Gundam Wing

Manga: Pretear and then Fushigi Yuugi

Toonami got me hooked on anime as a teen... now its gone... but my love for anime hasn't gone haha.  Ronin Warriors completely hooked me on Anime, then a friend and I discovered the Pretear anime somwhere which got us hooked on manga.

First anime I ever finished watching was an obscure little title called After War: Gundam X.  It's probably one of the least known series in all of Gundam, as it takes place in an alternate universe, and is not canon to the usual storyline.  It probably wasn't the best series in the Gundam universe, but I still have a soft spot for it.

I even have an Gundam X model I put together years ago.  Fun memories.  :)

Anime:...sadly, none

Manga: (and wouldn't you know it) Death Note. I just wish I'd see more of that series with more story. 12 volumes, plus the Los Angelas BB Murder Cases novel, wasn't enought. They should've made it longer!!!

First manga series that I actually finished beginning to end was not one, but two, and it was at the same time (sorry, but that's how it was bought). The first manga finished was Lament of the Lamb (a tear jerker) and then Rurouni Kenshin (comedy and historical fiction).

Anime series that finished and went with was actually Weiss Kreuz: The Knight Hunters
Evolution has brought forth an astonishing number of living creatures....none get as much adoration as Felidae (Felidae pg 86)
