Rave Questions

Well, i've heard of this rave of sorts that goes on and I was just curious about a few things 'cause it sounds like alot of fun. I dunno if a topic like this has been made already, but I haven't seen anything so...

1. Where is it gonna be and at what time?
2. Is there an age limit? (ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE ME WAIT FOR YEARS!? *cries*)
3. What sorta things go on? Is it just pretty much a big dance party thing, 'cause that's what it sounds like.

And I think that's about it. XD

1. Main events, between 10-11 PM
2. No. There is absolutely no age limit.
3. Dancing. Raving/Poi/and even some grinding.
 
What's nice is the fact that the general Kan population is made up of people who aren't expert dancers. So even if you can't dance, you can let loose and go crazy without feeling self conscious. (Just don't hit anyone.)

Please keep in mind that personal contact, especially such close and often intimate contact such as grinding, can only be done with/to/against a person if, and only if, you have received permission from them first.  See the anti-harassment rules.

Oh, I wouldn't get into anything like that. I'm only 14, so I have no interest in that sorta thing. I simply wanna dance around and have fun. XD

But, aside from any rather creepy dancing, it sounds like a blast!

It is rather fun, and there is plenty of space to dance around.  :)  Just remember that if someone does something that makes you uncomfortable in the way of unwanted contact during the raves, feel free to grab a staff member to help you out.

Otherwise, it's lots of random dancing fun, and as Rumor pointed out, there's not really a lot of 'professional dancers' there, so feel free to ham it up and bust loose. :)

And yes, Rumor, I realize that it does happen, I just want people to know that it doesn't have to happen to them if they don't want it to.

@ MagRowan: Certainly. But, I tend to break out into random dancing anyway. A bunch of people doing the same thing is perfect.

Well last year they only stopped people who were running into the middle of the big groups swinging wildly. But the people on the edges weren't hitting anyone, so i didn't see any of them getting stopped

Poi is just like glowsticking on strings, often referred to as glowstringing.

It's a Polynesian dance where you take two weighted sacks tied to strings and swing them about while they're lit on fire.

The rave adaptation, is replacing the fire with glowsticks/LED Poi balls

There's often a congo line that gets started... it get interesting after that!

A lot of people buy their own glow sticks/braclets and literally deck out in them... using like 20 or 30 of them (or more)...
