Well since this is a thread for dance noobs ill give you the three major rules.

1. DO NOT BRING ALCOHOL INTO THE RAVE.  (And for that matter please use the trash recepticals, they are there for your trash, the floor is not)

2. DO NOT MOSH! This is for your own safety and the safety of your fellow con goers.

3. STAY HYDRATED!  You need to remember to drink water, it gets VERY HOT in the main events room without dancing let alone with it.   If your mouth is dry take a break from dancing and get a drink.  If your sweating a lot take a break and get a drink.  IF YOU ARE FEELING FAINT! TAKE A LOT OF DRINKS (of water) AND SIT DOWN.  We don't need you collapsing and possibly getting trampled by people who don't notice you on the ground.

It wasn't mentioned...  but this usually goes for most convention dances

- no large props
- some conventions have been known to go so far as no props of any sort

They can cause injury to those around you, or get broken and make everyone sad

This is an awesome convention

thanks for mentioning this.  It's best for the safety of the con goers and thier props if these items are left in your rooms or cars while attending the dance

I said this before in another thread but it bears repeating.

wear comfortable shoes

You don't want your flow interrupted by a blister, or something worse.
