Sailor Moon, Card Captors Sakura, Digimon, or Pokemon...one of those. I was too young to actually remember which came first. xD

But as for knowing it was anime and all, then it'd be Wolf's Rain.

I thank The WB for showing me my first anime when I was about 8 or 9, which were Yu-Gi-Oh and Toyko Mew Mew. Then my first anime on Adult Swim was Inuyasha and I was about 10.

-blink- Technically Sailor Moon, although I wasn't aware of what anime was (I was 7).

The first one I was fully aware was anime was DNAngel. I was 15 and I fell in love with it. =]

OHMIGOD I LOVE YOU!
I pre-ordered the first volume of DNAngel (the manga) back when it first came out. It is the first manga I ever bought (or read, for that matter), and I now own every volume and the box set of every episode of both the Anime and manga. DNAngel is is da shit.

My dad said I used to love Kimba when I was a kid, but I don't remember! I liked Robotech a lot when I was 9-10. But what really sparked my interest in anime and the culture was Sailor Moon, when I was about 10 or 11. I became obsessed and started drawing the style, which I've changed several times throughout the years.

I still absolutely adore Robotech and Sailor Moon. And sooo many of the old schooled anime I used to watch!

I remember I had watched Pok'e'mon and Sailor Moon, but what really got me hooked was Tenchi Muyo! That is what really made my eyes light up. I was introduced to it by my best friend and partner in photography, xanderman. I must have been about 9 or 10. Some time around there. So about 10 years of wonderful memories. From there, I got into El Hazard, Slayers, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Ranma 1/2.

But yeah, Tenchi inspired so much love for me. I'm sure Anime would have found its way into my life somehow, but this one firmly established both my love of Anime, but my love of Japanese culture, which turned me towards taking Japanese and getting to go to Japan, marking my first time out of the country (Yep, not even to Canada). Tenchi still has a fantastic power over me. I'm getting a little teary eyed just thinking back. :')

It was either Ranma 1/2, or Cowboy Bebop... I'm uncertain which as the chronology of my memory is a little screwy.

Both good shows, though I like Bebop better.

My first anime was also Sailor moon, Which i watched at 6 months old.  probly younger than that.  My mom thought that it was a cute little show that taught good from bad, and that even if you aren't right now, you can become confident.  i watched that up until i was like 6-7.  Then i watched pokemon.    At the time i did not know either of them was anime.  It was up until my sister introduced me to Inuyasha when i was about 7.  That is when i knew what it was that i liked so much.  it was also the time when i realise-not became- but realise that i was hooked, and for ever would be.  i remember the exact episode too. It was the one were Inuyasha had to go into the cave to kill the little half demon, but he didn't want to, even if it would give him the red Tetsaiga that would let him break throught Narakus barriers.  There was that bat looking grand pa.
