I watched 3 to 5 episodes a day of the 1st season of Steel Angel Kurumi when I bought the complete collection months ago. And the same with the Tenchi Gxp series when I checked the whole series out at the library. Now i'm trying to find free time since I work and do chores Monday thru Friday. When I do, I try to watch as much of my DVD's as possible.

  um, Naruto does indeed count as an anime,  if you dont like it for some reason, thats fine, but Naruto is completely so an anime, the most popular anime and manga even.

i would say its far from the "most popular" anime of all time...
and if you couldn't read into the sarcasm of my statement by the ":3" at the end of the comment, then i am sorry...

and, according to ANN (Anime News Network), Death Note is the most popular manga as of late, and FMA (Full Metal Alchemist) is the most popular anime currently watched...

Does the length of the episode have any bearing on this?  watched the whole series of minigoddess(they are like 7 minute episodes), followed by random anime over the time frame of 14 hours...  was hosting an anime marathon and people just picked out what they wanted to watch from either my collection, or what other people brought.  I believe we finished up by going back to my dorm room and watching some more anime to finish up whatever series people got hooked on... so 18 hour anime marathon essentially with 2 small breaks when I got too hungry to continue... Since there was food in there at the start... only left the room once give or take a bathroom trip or two...

I was president of the Otaku Jinrui - The UNL Anime club for a couple of years... we had 12 hour anime marathons at the end of every semester on Saturdays... occasionally they started a little early and went a little later...

I think my max in a day was about 6 and that was when I watched the Loveless anime. Other than that, I usually just watch 1-3 episodes in a day and that's it.

When I first started watching Kuroshitsuji I was hooked, and so the first day I watched about five episodes, and then the next day I watched the last 19 episodes O.O
My eyes were about to fall out after that XD

i watched all of ghost in the shell season 1 one day and i've also marithoned gantz (which i would reccomend to absolutely nobody)
